I called Village Plumbing, Air and Electric when my furnace went out this weekend and it had gotten cold. The company was very helpful and scheduled a licensed technician to come out immediately to address my problem. They let me know ahead of time who the technician was and even sent a picture. The technician messaged me when he was on his way. My technician, Ramiro, was an excellent technician. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to fix the problem very quickly. And explained to me everything that happened to my furnace. He also gave me pointers as to how to help me maintain my furnace in the future. I was very happy with my service. And I will definitely call Village Plumbing, Air and Electric for all of my future service calls and routine maintenance calls. I will also definitely request Ramiro. I appreciate he was patient answering all of my questions.
Update from 1* to 3*s 2/17/25 —> The company has reached out directly and offered recommendations as well as an understanding of what happened. They apologized for our experience and assured me that it was isolated. The quality assurance manager took ownership and offered a number of solutions. They took quick action and for that it tells me that they are a serious company offering a good service to the community and care about their reputation and the services they offer. Turns out two surge protections would be beneficial but the float switch is more of a priority which the company is going to take care of for us as a good faith measure and we will accept. The company also refunded the service call fee given our feedback and experience. We hesitated to accept anything but they tried to correct the situation and make things better and I respect that. Thank you SGT Spears, we thank you for your service! Original Post—> The overall experience was terrible. The only exceptional parts were the people who answer the phones to schedule, the technology used to keep customers informed and the feedback loop. Hear me, I can only surmise that the company contracts people to come out. If they actually work for the company then-be aware. Someone came out to assess an ac issue. The tech said seems like no power going to the unit. He asked about power outages in the area and proceeded to go in the attic. I asked several questions regarding assessing the issue and ensuring proper diagnosis of the issue. He immediately looked at my husband who is a man and talked to him. He mentioned the transformer piece was the issue. it’s a $50 part, he brought up the invoice without any itemization and said the charge would be $89.00 to come out plus the parts and labor and it was $598 and he said it was a 15 minute job-you do the math. I asked if that’s the case what is $600 going to? no answer from Abinadi Huerta. Not to include the $1300+ parts and services he was trying to install that were not needed. My husband was a go and I was a clear no because he clearly didn’t prove to me he should be working on our expensive HVAC system. He never even inspected or checked the outdoor unit at all. He also was going to install a float switch which had NOTHiNG to do with the AC not working. He said he would change out our transformer with a hardwired version which he couldn’t even explain how he would do that. He said oh it’ll take no time… l looked up that part and it was $55 dollars. then said after he would inspect more diagnostics AFTER installing the part of which he never did. Guy representing Village Plumbing went to the attic for over an hour it seemed and no power no nothing of which I saw him talking to my husband and getting ready to leave. I ran out like what’s going on…The man told my husband he didn’t know what the issue was could be the motherboard and he can’t figure it out but wanted to he PAID his service fee. He left the part he took off on top of the furnace and left screws unbolted down and left our home. Oh this was horrible. First, i get he came out, but he scammed us and was disrespectful to our home and me by brushing off my questions and talking only to the man of the house. First, what if i were single, then he clearly would have tried the same antics. See these companies hire whomever and say they are qualified and they are not. I explained early in the visit about the loyalty program, he looked at me like i had three heads. The brought it up to my husband while trying to upsell him. How are you upselling when you can’t even do the original job. Fast forward, we called Big Tex Electric they were here for 30 minutes the technician changed the 30amp contactor outside on the unit and the system powered right up. We paid $145.60. See first impressions last. People may not remember WHAT you said, but will always remember HOW you made them feel.
My household experienced an extremely seamless project execution that Village Plumbing along with Mr. Velasco and his drain/sewage team performed in my home. The initial Village plumber arrived on time and treated the problem quickly and efficiently. Then while conducting further steps of his diagnostic duties, he discovered our major drain pipe problem. We are thankful and satisfied of how swiftly the entire project followed through considering that this happened on Christmas week. I do have to comment that communication with the team lead could be better but on the other hand when I reached out, he always responded promptly and gave exact details of what we were to expect next. Village Plumbing is a reliable and professional company I will always count on.
