Tom The Handyman

My husband googled handyman in our city for a bathroom project we needed done. We realized our toilet wax ring had been leaking for a long time and had no idea because it was leaking under the floor. Tom had to remove everything and replace the sub flooring. We decided we would just completely redo the whole bathroom since other things were damaged after pulling up the floor and seeing how much the damage had snowballed overtime. So he gave us an estimate and we put him to work. He was patient with us as we kept changing our mind on different things… Should we keep the tub and surround or do a walk-in shower? Should we tile or do side walls? What type of vanity should we get? Do we put a mirror up again, or a vanity/ medicine cabinet thing…? etc. etc. He would give us his input, but ultimately had us decide what was best for us. He came when he said he would, he even came on a Sunday, his day off, just because he knew we were an entire bathroom short, just to help things go along faster. He is the nicest, most down to earth, honest, caring, and knowledgeable… (Jack of all trades, knowing how to do about everything,) that we’ve ever dealt with when it comes to things like this. His estimate was actually lower by the time it was all said and done when we paid. Normally, these kind of things when you go to get the finalized cost, there is usually hidden fees for extra this or that, but his was actually lower than what we thought in the end. I can honestly say it would have been almost twice as much with another company or handyman service. We were kind of dumbfounded when we heard his estimate and we’re almost a little leery to be honest because we thought it was TOO low. I used to flip houses years ago so I know how to do pretty much all of these things. However, there was just too much going on in life, so we decided to hire out this time. I did tell him that I would do the very end of the job myself. So I’m doing some drywall patching, caulking, painting, etc. I’m actually still in the middle of finishing up, so once I post these pictures of the before - during and after, at least for his part… I hope I am able to go back on here and edit my review, to post the finalized pictures of the outcome of the bathroom. (**UPDATED… I just posted the finished bathroom photos before reloading the bathroom with wall items, towels, etc.) But in the meantime, I wanted to get this sent because I want everybody to know… if they are questioning who to go with in Nebraska… You definitely need to go with this guy. On the last day, after he installed the shower bar… (because that was the last thing he was doing,) he went to walk out and it hit me that after the random chit chats we had while he was working… (anything from random life stuff, to the bathroom flip,) it felt kind of weird realizing he was finished and he wouldn’t be around us anymore. After getting to know him, It kinda felt like he was a friend of ours. We’ve only known him for a little over a week and I feel like he and his family would be somebody I would invite to Thanksgiving dinner. My husband even invited his wife and child inside out house one of the time’s they stopped over to talk about details of the flip, so they didn’t have to wait outside while he was chatting with us. He is what I call “good people” This is my honest to God‘s review. If you’re wondering who to hire for random jobs you need done… this is your guy. Thank you TOM!!!

Shout out to Tom the handy man, for his vast knowledge and clean work ethic! From installing doors, light fixtures and my flooring. Tom has always been fast, friendly, and affordable each time he’s worked on my house . I’d highly recommend him for any of your handy man needs!

Tom is very efficient and personable. He showed up today after "snowmageddon" when no other handyman would or could to repair my window. We would have had a very cold night without his help. I would absolutely recommend him and utilize his services in the future.
