Please do yourself a favor, when viewing a property, if it has a lockbox, schedule a time after business hours or on the weekends. You may have more of an insight of the living environment around you before leasing. Please rent through a different rental agency that cares about your concerns as a tenant! Made several complaints about a tenant above me, has turned into harassment. The tenant is still here, prefer not to come home at times.
I recently moved into a property managed by RedStone and encountered some issues with the light switches. I submitted a maintenance request through their portal, which turned out to be very user-friendly and intuitive. It kept me updated with periodic status notifications via text and email, making it easy to track the progress. The RedStone Maintenance Team arrived exactly as scheduled and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently—even without me needing to be home. As a tenant, this experience has given me great confidence in RedStone’s service and in their handling of any future concerns.
Out of the four rental companies I’ve dealt with, this has by far been the most frustrating experience. It is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone—calls go unanswered, and messages are never returned. Since Redstone took over management of our complex, the standard practice of providing 24-hour notice for maintenance has become increasingly inconsistent. In many cases, no notice is given at all. Thankfully, I have a Ring camera installed, which has shown property management entering my home without prior communication. While I fully understand and support the need for updates and regular maintenance, I take issue with the complete lack of notice or transparency. Today, for example, someone arrived unexpectedly and asked whether I had an appointment for insulation work—something I was never informed about. Because of this surprise visit, we are now unable to complete our own work as we must be present to sign necessary documents. This lack of communication and disregard for tenant privacy and time is unacceptable. I sincerely hope this matter is taken seriously and that improvements are made moving forward.
