JD came out and helped fix my broken water pressure tank switch box, installed a new hot water heater, and redid some of my plumbing system so that they no longer used dangerous fittings and were properly sized. All of his work is clean and straightforward. No extraneous connections. He works fast and he works hard! I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone needing plumbing help. In addition, the lady that they have answering calls and scheduling is very responsive, kind, and efficient! She was quick to help me every time I called. If I have any plumbing needs in the future, I will 100% be reaching back out to PHD for their support! Very pleased!
PHD Plumbing and Heating Doctors in Wasilla. Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest rating possible. I needed something fixed, They charged me 338.00 up front because they said they first had to do an inspection and they would also provide a complete clean out/Service for this price and then they would give me a quote on the cost to address the issue that was actually needed. After that quote I was told l would have to pay the full amount before any parts would be ordered so I trusted them and I paid what they quoted. The quotes were vague and general, no break down of the cost of each part. At the end of it all In the process of trying to clean out my Lochnivar high efficiency boiler a bolt sheared off so they just stopped working on it. They said they inspected it for leaks and there were none. Then they came several days later with the wrong part to try to fix the issue I originally needed fixed. More days passed and Braxton finally called me to say the part needed is no longer available and the system is fine like it is. So that’s how they left it. So they refunded me for that part (Taco Controller) that “no longer exists”. I had to ask for the refund of labor for coming out with the wrong part and then not replacing or fixing it and he agreed to that. I also had to ask for a more detailed and specific quote because all parts were just listed out with comas in between and not itemized. Meanwhile I still have the issue I hired and pre paid them for; a nonfunctional regulator and a pump wired to an extension cord and plugged into a wall outlet with the pump pumping away totally unregulated. Now 7 weeks later the boiler is making a terrible clunking and grinding noise and carbon monoxide leaking from the hole where they broke the bolt off. And it’s not heating my floors. I am running electric heaters but the house is barely staying warm, one of them burned out today. So what I paid for never got resolved, they did harmful damage, did a few other minor and unnecessary things and kept the remaining $1814.00. I am a senior citizen, and single caregiver of my disabled son. I had to pull money from my retirement account to pay for this. Now I have to do it again to hire someone else to fix not only what they didn’t fix but what they broke to begin with. This time there will be a COMPLETE REVALUATION in Comparison to the work they did and what was actually needed and listed on the invoices and;;; in writing before I pay a dime. We don’t have anywhere else to stay until it is fixed. UPDATED Reply to PHD's response below One service was done on November 24, another on December 12 (as he says in his reply) and the last service was on December 16. I was charged separate labor charges every time they came out. On January 2 the receptionist called me but I had already scheduled another appointment from a professional plumbing and heating specialist since PHD left me with "Taco Mix Control Does Not Need To Be Replaced" (quoted from invoice 6232). See photo of available Taco Controller on supply.com, quote statement from a heating specialist, Close up of existing Taco Controller, Image of the wall where the existing Taco Controller is hanging above the Taco Zone Valve Control Box. Also Note: There is no "Taco Valve". Also...see PHD invoices completely contradict their own response. If they really want to make it right they would fix what they damaged and replace the Taco Controller and connect the pump to it as I had already paid them to do. That was all I wanted them to do. Everything else they did was their idea. If this was above their skill level they should have told me instead of finding ways to keep my money. Also note that their invoice says "Cash on Delivery", this is false, they charged me for Everything upfront before they ever came out to do the work and they don't deny it. I could always attach bank charge images to prove that against the invoice dates but I won't for now.
PHD was worth every penny. After 20 years of having HVAC technicians come out and fix my system PHD sent out Dan. Dan worked the problem, the problem, a roll of duct tape dropped into my blower when the system was installed. Now the system heats my house faster, runs smoother and quieter. I highly recommend PHD and Dan!
