MJ Electric

I found this company on Facebook and decided to shoot Mike a text after having some serious issues with a few breakers in my house. I sent him a message on Saturday asking if he could come out the following week sometime. He responded and said he could make it out Monday and if I wanted to move forward, to send him my name, address and email address. I did just that. After not receiving a response for a while, I texted him later that night asking if there was any specific time he had in mind that he wanted to stop by on Monday. He responded with “8 am.” After 8 am rolled on by Monday morning without anyone showing up or receiving any texts, I reached out and asked him if he was close. About 10 minutes later he responded with “I had two people on the schedule this morning with your name and got confused. I can get a guy there in just a little bit.” First off, I sent my first and last name, email address and postal address (just as requested)- I’m not sure anyone else shares that same information and seems pretty basic to keep organized. Second, I very specifically scheduled my day around this as I am running on a time-crunch trying to get things fixed in my house before I leave out of town. Very frustrating and very unprofessional. If you’re betting on these guys to show up when the say they will, I wouldn’t bet much. *EDIT— Right after I posted this review, I receive a text message from Mike. Actually, to be very precise, I received 8 text messages from Mike. The first one consisted of telling me why he didn’t make it to the appointment again. He reiterated that there were two people on the schedule with my first name and told me he wasn’t wearing his glasses last night. Neither of which are my fault. He apologized a few times and ended that first text with “pretty sad if you ask me said I’m sorry twice” in reference to this review. The second text consisted of a bribe/threat. I quote “I’ll give you 50 bucks if you don’t take that review off.” The next text read, and I quote- “Take it off plz.” The next text was a screen shot of his work computer and schedule with other people’s private information on it, trying to prove where he got my name mixed up. He ended the long chain of texts with again another attempt at a bribe, saying- “I’ll give ya 50 bucks and we move on.” In my experience, it’s not often I’ve seen a “business professional” reach out via text to make excuses, bride and threaten a client. Unfortunately for Mike, I don’t exactly respond well to threats or bribes. If you’re so worried about the review, then reply to the review directly on google so others can see your response and how you handle it. I understand things happen, but the way this was approached is absolutely mind-blowing to me. This was definitely the first time I’ve ever had to threaten to call the cops for harassment on an electrician. Stay far away from these people.

I am writing a review about almost being run off the road by one of your drivers. It happened on 252 in Brooklyn center today 11/17/25 at 3:30pm. The license plate on the truck was GEK 423. You guys have got to stop your guys from doing this. There are other one star reviews about this as well. Someone is going to get hurt or God forbid someone gets seriously hurt. Please stop your drivers from doing this for the safety of the public. You have all the info to discipline this person. Thanks

MJ Electric did the hook up for our sauna and hot tub. We ran into some challenges throughout the project and Mike and his team did an incredible job coming up with solutions. Mike was very responsive and transparent. We would recommend MJ Electric to anyone and will definitely use them again.
