Highest marks for Zibi and his team of professionals at Kramer Lane Construction. A special thanks Caratozzolo Stone Design for the intro. Kramer Lane rebuilt our back patio and turned it into a true work of art. Zibi added incredible value to the initial architectural plans with his concept of adding retractable screens vs stationary screens, adding skylights, heating units in the ceiling for cooler temps and fans for when the weather is warm. Plus an outdoor kitchen. It has transformed the back of our home and how we live in it. The craftsmanship is extraordinary and the final product seamlessly blends into our existing house. It is stunning. We were so impressed with the back porch that we had him redo our master bath, turning an ugly and overdone spec house master into something Zen and simply gorgeous. Once again, Zibi's elegant vision came to light creating custom cabinetry, heated floors, a generously sized shower with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, special lighting effects under the toe kicks and in the linen/storage cabinet and even a unique niche by the tub with tiny pin lights. It is a joy to use both our bathroom and porch daily.
I'm not sure where to begin with this review. I first met Zibi of Kramer Lane over 3 years ago when I was doing due diligence in selecting both an architect and builder for our new home. After meeting with, and evaluating many firms to build our dream home, we decided to go with Kramer Lane. Constructing a new home is no easy feat and there will be many areas where things are known and there will always be unknowns and unknown unknowns that come up during the construction process. Most capable builders can build from architectural drawings but what sets apart one builder from another? It is construction, there will ALWAYS be curveballs and other surprises that come up during a project. To me, how you handle adversity, solve problems, being accountable, suggest improvements and enhancements, are some of the traits that are of utmost importance in selecting a builder and GC. Zibi is not the builder of choice for everyone, why is that? It is because he builds to a high standard, will NEVER cut corners, has very high expectations of himself but also of every subcontractor that steps foot on the job. He builds a house in a way that will look great to the naked eye, but also in a way where you don't have to worry about what you cannot see or observe with your naked eye. What is in between your walls, floors, in the ground, etc is also critically important to your build and with Kramer Lane, you do not need to worry about what you cannot see. That is a very under-appreciated facet of the build. I've seen him several times demand that subcontractors redo something that does not meet his standard or the standard of his client. Additonally, Zibi came up with several creative suggestions and improvements to our custom build. Together, we collaborated in many ways, made some changes together that were quite impactful to the overall project. Lasty, Zibi answers his phone 99% of the time when you call, he is responsive and takes immense pride in his work. Like everything in life, I'm sure there are better builders than Zibi and Kramer Lane, if so, I have not been able to find them. Lastly, after this project, I proudly call Zibi my friend and he's stuck with me long after the completion of this project.
Zibi and his team completely rebuilt our home in 2017. Kramer Lane pays incredible attention to detail, will work with you to figure out how to fit your dreams into your budget, and are some of the nicest people I've met in construction. We have had no issues with our home so far, but Zibi still ensures we properly winterize each year, checks in on how things are holding up regularly, and came back to finish our basement this past year.
