I just wanted to give a review of the apartment I moved in to July of 2025 at the 10th Cavalry Apartments The particular building I live in is arguably the best of the 3 .. and I am going to honestly say that I have never slept as good in my life as I have the last almost 6 months I have been here. My neighbors are quiet the ones I have met have been friendly.. the hallways are clean the laundry room is clean. My building's trash/recycling area is normally clean . There are some lazy people that just leave their bags of trash on the ground but for the most part it's clean over there. I lived down the street at Winchester Place for 13 years and although I miss the property manager over there. And I miss having a bigger apartment (this one is really small) I don't miss living there at all.. I had to wear earplugs every single night for 13 years because of the constant screaming from kids outside 24/7 .. having zero kids in this building is heaven to me. Not having to trip over trash and toys and hear basketballs smashing against the building constantly it is literal heaven.. I really do hope that these buildings stay affordable so I can stay here possibly forever Having key fob only access to my apartment is a blessing and a curse.. if I lock myself out of the building or my apartment by accident one day it could take forever for someone to let me in with a master fob.. where as I could have stashed a spare key at my old place outside or picked the lock myself to get it.. but it's also great that the chances of someone breaking into my apartment are drastically lower.. the apartment itself while very small for someone my age with a lot of stuff Is beautiful. Everything was brand new when I moved in and it still looks brand new these months later. Gorgeous appliances I love the big walk in closet .. love the high ceilings and big windows.. I do wish they would have replaced these windows before they rented the units out though .. they are extremely old heavy and hard to open and shut and sometimes it feels like they are just going to fall out . Maybe in the future they will update them Laundry being free in the building is great since I gave up my washer and dryer to move here. I just hope that it stays free and the management doesn't allow other people to ruin that for us I'll give 10th Cavalry 10/10 so far The other two buildings I hear are infested with drugs theft and homeless people already .. but it seems CHT is not putting up with it.. I hope they really try to keep these buildings safe clean and drug free as much as possible. There are plenty of college students or young people that would be grateful to live here as a stepping stone .. and I'm sure if they can successfully evict people that are causing drama. The apartments will fill up Haven't met the property manager one time since I moved in so I can't speak to her .. So yeah overall. My building is fantastic I sleep like a baby .. feel completely safe here I feel like I got extremely lucky to have chosen an apartment in this particular building because if I'd have ended up surrounded by drugs and loud people I would have been miserable. Crossing my fingers 123 stays the good building 🤞🏼

Do not buy CHT. They buy cheap homes, do minor renovations, sell them cheap to you. When you are ready to move, they tell you all those renovations they did are shoddy and cheap and make you upgrade the home on your dollar. I personally think the staff are terrible people who are smarmy and full of themselves, acting like they are doing good, when they are actively harming the community. We lost money on owning a home through them over the last decade. I recommend renting if you can't afford home ownership, it could very well be cheaper for you in the long run. Avoid CHT at all costs.

If CHT was more honest with the public about how they run their rentals I might have a little more respect for them. I've been a resident for four years and it took 3 years worth of complaints against a terrible property manager for us to get a new one (and they just moved them to a different building!). Good luck living in one of their properties. You'll need it.
