Bimmer Tech is awesome. I have an older BMW as a loved second car I just can’t get rid of. It had all kinds of things go wrong around Christmas. My Bimmer has become a bummer. Faults in the transmission, electrical not functioning, variable valve motor error, fuel indicators error, lights, horn, infotainment didn’t work, high voltage error. I counted 7 error codes in my OBD reader, nothing worked. I thought it was going to be a nightmare to repair and I let it sit for a month not wanting to deal with it. I contacted Bimmer tech based off reviews and they sent an electrician to my home on a SUNDAY! In one hour we learned everything wrong was just caused by a faulty alternator overcharging, he reset about 25 error messages in his computer and worked his keyboard magic. $200 for the diagnostic and a quick alternator swap that evening put me back on the road, everything was fixed. I highly recommend Bimmer Tech as they are honest, knowledgeable, address only what needs to be fixed and they come to you. If your Bimmer has become a bummer, CALL THEM FIRST! To say that the service was phenomenal would still be an understatement! I needed to get some major work done on my 2015 BMW 640i gran coupe and not only were they very professional and expedient on what I needed done but the mechanic Max was very funny and honest on what I needed done immediately versus what may not have been a top priority. He does quality work and no BS-ing around! I love that Bimmertech will come out to your home to do the repairs! I will definitely be using them for all my mechanical services going forward! One last thing, please make sure you have a nice shaded area or canopy they can work under as it's not fun to have to work hard under the sun. A 10x10 canopy cost around $60 and will allow them to work comfortably on your car if you don't have a garage or parking structure. TL;DR: BIMMER TECH treated my 20-year-old BMW zhp with white glove service and masterful care. The convenience of an on-the-go mechanic cannot be overstated, the work is *top quality*, and extremely competitively priced. 5/5 stars, A+, 100/100, and I would gladly hire them again. The Long Version: I have a 2005 BMW 330ci zhp. Great car, but she’s 20 years old now, and 20yo cars have problems, especially when you ignore the Christmas light assemblage on your dash for a few months. (Guilty!) After a period of progressively worse quality driving, my power steering went out. I knew from prior experience that traditional LA mechanics (with shops you drive to) are always booked and busy — if you don’t schedule service ahead of time, there will be at least a few day delay until your car can be worked on. Not so with BIMMER TECH!!! They came out SAME DAY to do a diagnostic check, and broke the bad news — all those dash lights I had been ignoring? Yeah, they were actual problems. I needed a new power steering pump, coolant expansion tank, AND a new radiator. Apparently, it wasn’t just my power steering that I had noticed leaking when parked — it was the radiator, too. If you know anything about BMWs, you know you can’t drive without a radiator — an overheated BMW engine kills the whole machine. Kaput. It was sheer dumb luck that my engine hadn’t overheated yet, as the leak was slow, but steady. Thank goodness for BIMMER TECH!!! BIMMER TECH’s work is stellar for the price. I think they may be the most competitively priced BMW service in Los Angeles. As we BMW owners well know, our cars are not cheap to maintain. Perhaps the amount BIMMER TECH saves in overhead by not having a brick-and-mortar store allows them to pass the savings onto us — whatever the reason, I’m grateful. A new coolant expansion tank, new radiator and hoses, new power steering pump, a synthetic oil change, and my (overdue) milestone tune-up cost me ****less than Googled estimates for the power steering pump alone.**** Now THAT is value!!! Since the big repair, my 2005 330ci zhp has been purring like the day I got her. She drives like a dream again — the degradation of the power steering had been subtle enough that I hadn’t noticed until it went out completely, but I definitely noticed the improvement when it was fixed!!!
