Best Choice Plumbing

Mikhail came out to my house on March 17th. to remove a toilet and a pedestal as we are preparing to have our wood floors redone. He removed the toilet and pedestal and we set up a time to have him come back and install the two items on April 14th. We have not gone in that bathroom this whole time because we don’t have a toilet or a sink at the moment—no reason to go in. Today, April 5th, I went into the bathroom to paint and noticed the floor was wet. The plumbing attachment that goes to the toilet had started leaking at some point. The attachment was removed and never covered to prevent leaking. I’m not sure if that is possible or not. I sent him a text to let him know that it was leaking and to see if he would be able to come back out. He is unavailable for the next week. I understand that. So I was going to have another plumber come handle this for me in the meantime. I had texted him to see if his insurance covered things like this. His text back to me, indicated that he told me to look at the plumbing and make sure it had no leaks. He left me with no instructions. He said nothing about a leak and to check in on it. It’s disappointing to have a professional respond in that manner. No accountability and clearly no empathy. If he felt like it could leak at any point, he should provide written notice to protect himself. He never said anything to me about watching the plumbing to make sure it didn’t leak. I’ve never had a plumber tell me to keep an eye on his work. I will be taking this up with the BBB if no reply is made and an attempt is made to correct the issue.

Mike (Best Choice Plumbing) replaced my hot water heater today and did a great job. Communications were excellent both in doing the initial visit and the follow-up with the heater install. More than anything, Mike is a real gentleman with a very friendly and knowledgeable demeanor. He's very hard working and quite professional. Though I offered, he preferred to bring up his supplies himself (I'm on the 3rd floor of a building) rather than let me help him. Being organized, he managed to do this in only a couple of trips. He prepped the work area using a thick ground cloth and went about his work. During the install he listened to my concerns regarding placement (I needed space for an upcoming new washer/dryer). Here is a picture of the finished work. You'll notice that the expansion tank is mounted high so as to permit a stacked washer/dryer next to the heater. He made sure to mount this to a wall stud for structural integrity. I will definitely call Mike again for my next plumbing job. The price was very reasonable and it only took a couple of hours.

Best choice plumbing was fantastic, truly the best plumber we’ve ever had. Michael took time, did a thorough evaluation, explained everything to us, and fixed both problems we had! We are very grateful!
