# UA Local 367 Plumbers & Steamfitters Joint Apprenticeship

## About
The Anchorage Area Plumbers & Pipefitters Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee, affiliated with Local Union 367, established its apprenticeship program on October 6, 1949, with the training school located on Potter Drive south of International Airport Road. The facility trains apprentices and journeymen in plumbing, pipefitting, welding, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, instrumentation controls, and all aspects of construction work related to the plumbing trade. A new 9600 square foot training center was recently built on the site to prepare workers for projects south of the 63rd parallel in Alaska. The five-year, 10,000-hour program employs one full-time instructor and four part-time instructors.
