Dinner party with 10 guests arriving in hours... I call up Tornado. Within a minute I'm on the phone with Peter. He asks some pointed questions, none of which I can answer. I ask, "Can you please come?", "Already on my way" was his response. An hour later, Peter shows up, camera in the drain, snake in the drain, fixes clogged pipe, notices 2 other issues. Within 1-2 hours, he's fixed the urgent issue and has a plan for addressing the other issue (faulty backflow valve). On Monday (today), he is promptly back at my house to fix final issue. On top of that, he has equipped me with the video and confidence to fight the city of Toronto over the last (and least urgent) issue as it is on the city side. Of course, he could have just accepted the work but instead encouraged me to appeal with the city. All to say, Peter was clearly looking out for the best interests of his client and not trying to take advantage of a challenging situation. On top of all of this, Tornado uses a digital platform for estimates, arrival times, etc.. which kept me in the loop the entire time.
