Miguel came out to fix the thermostat, and he was extremely patient and accommodating. He did not leave until the issue was fully resolved. There are a few things I really like about them: 1. No scare sales tactics. Two HVAC companies I called earlier for system checkup said my furnace heat exchanger is cracked and could leak CO any moment. It caused major panics and stress (which led me to eventually look for new HVACs). Therma Tech examined the system and told me my system is aged and was not installed properly from day 1, but nothing is cracked. They could have sticked to the narratives and scare me into sales, but they chose to give me honest opinions. 2. Really good price. Out of the five companies I got quote from, they have the best number, by a large margin. One thing I like about them is that they put the rebates directly into the price, so I don't need to worry about it. 3. Smooth communication. It was very easy to work with this company. They communicated proactively, always responded to my inquiries with minimal delays. It had been a great experience using their services. God bless them. - 5/5 — Anonymous Therma Tech should be every Bay Area homeowner's starting point in the search for an HVAC contractor. The AC at my parents' 2-story house went out in May and I surveyed every reputable HVAC contractor in the area. I wanted a system that would do a better job of handling the temperature difference between the top and bottom floors of the house than the old system did. To my surprise, each contactor I talked to offered vastly different approaches and a good number pushed for solutions that were clearly compromised at a very uncompromised price point. We ultimately went with Therma Tech and their suggestion to put separate Carrier 2-ton air handlers for each floor (one in the attic and one in the garage) with a heat pump compressor outside. Generally, this is the best performing but most labor and equipment intensive way to go about it, yet Therma-Tech's quote still came in lower than a lot of the other contractors who just wanted to replace the existing unit with another unit, usually of a cheaper brand, and perhaps add a zoning system. When it came to doing the work, the crew was exceptionally professional, clean, and patient with me even when I got excessively nit-picky, which I admittedly did constantly. The workers were smart and knowledgeable, explained everything I needed to know and offered options when there were different ways to go about things. They asked countless times if we were happy with everything and followed up after the job was done. I simply could not ask for better quality service. Six months later, the system is working like a dream. Whisper quiet, even temperatures between floors, and the house is more comfortable than ever. Most importantly, the parents are happy.
