From the quote to completion. They put in a block wall for me and several gates. All 6ft tall. The wall looks amazing and the gates are fantastic. Just need my hubby to stain them cause he said he'd do that on his own. Which I'll probably land up doing. They came on time, worked diligently, gave a fantastic price, and were friendly. There was a little mishap where they broke my outdoor water spigot. But they informed us right away and got it repaired for us. Even lifted the spigot higher so it's easier to see now 😆. They were even great at dealing with the crazy Karen next door to me. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of guys to come do my wall. Abraham's crew brought some chain link to block off the sections they were working on so it dogs wouldn't get out of the yard. That was a big concern for us. Abraham and his crew really stepped up. We wanted to build another coyote fence on a different part of our property and Abraham came out the next day to give us a bid. We had a bid from another reputable company that was a thousand dollars more for a hundred linear feet. Sol o Alire finished the fence this week, much earlier than originally scheduled because they had an opening. They stuck to their bid and did a beautiful job. We had another crew working on another project in the yard and Abraham’s people were professional and accommodating so we could get everything done. Among several places I contacted Sol O Alire wound up winning the work. When Abraham first arrived he was friendly, interactive, straight-forward, and knowledgeable. Based on the ease of communicating with him and our discussions, Sol O Alire was the clear winner despite not being the lowest quote. The work took about a week for the wall replacement and the work quality was well worth the cost. The footing was laterally reinforced with rebar and vertical rebar was placed every 3ft then back-filled with concrete. Every 12ft expansion joints were placed and appropriate stepped along the length to ensure the wall is level. On each side of the expansion joints vertical rebar was placed and also back-filled with concrete. Since the wall is so close to several downspouts on my house, the masons left small gaps between the blocks on the bottom layer to allow water to drain through the wall, as opposed to pooling. The post construction site was not as clean as I hoped, however when asked to return to clean up, they did. Even after I had paid them and they had no monetary incentive to return to clean up more, Sol O Alire did so out of the desire to maintain their reputation and my satisfaction.
