Don’t hesitate to use Rooted for any backyard project Longer review: We put in a swimming pool this summer and, honestly, as something of an afterthought we asked our pool builder if he had a landscaper contact. I’m typically a DIY guy especially outdoors. I had in my head “ah I can throw some seed and put in some gardens.” But we went ahead and met with Mark to talk about “things”. What we wound up with….. see my “wow” above! Want went from “I’ll throw some seed” turned into a putting green, a completely custom fireplace with wood boxes and a custom artificial turf sitting oasis, a 10,000 pound (yes, we weighed them) boulder retaining wall, over 100 new plants, 12 yards of river rock, landscape lighting, gorgeous sod, and a completely reworked irrigation system….. In summary a backyard oasis that makes me want to never go inside. Mark is fantastic to partner with. His team is the most conscientious bunch we’ve ever had work with us. For example, I was spying when they were putting in the turf sitting area and their main guy (Jaime I believe) was on his hands and knees with a pair of scissors cutting individual blades of the artificial grass just so it was completely perfect. Listen…. Budgets are budgets, right? But (particularly coming from a dyed-in-the-wool DIY guy) I don’t regret a single penny we committed to this. The level of detail, the quality of work, and the complete commitment to excellence by the whole crew makes it unquestionably worth it and I genuinely feel like we got great value for the money. We’re so ecstatic with how the backyard turned out (the pool is great, too!) we’re planning 2 more projects with Mark already and I’m trying to figure out what else they can do! There were a lot of components going on and the communication throughout the whole time and attention to detail was excellent. He also was glad to meet us at the job site several times to go over what we wanted and how we wanted it done. I might add that I have high expectations (picky) :-) and they met those expectations above and beyond.
