I wanted a whole house generator and decided to get a Generac. I contacted several companies and had 5 site visits. Out of 4 other companies only one mentioned upgrading the electrical service to my house but that guy did not provide a price. Rock-Vern Electric provided a complete price and included these products and tasks: • 14kw GENERAC home standby generator. • Concrete pre-cast generator pad. • Generator battery. • 200-amp GENERAC automatic transfer switch. • All Conduit, wiring and materials. • Labor required for the installation. • Generator cold weather oil warmer. • Load shed management module for the range and dryer. • Replace upper Service and meter socket. • Trench for generator power and propane tanks. • Permit fee included. With a lengthy list like this it would be conceivable that something would go awry and they would need to charge more but that did not happen with Rock-Vern Electric. They held to the quoted price. For that I am grateful but I am also impressed with the quality of their work. They are professionals who do outstanding work. A friend recommended Rock-Vern and I recommend them as well. A few years ago we had a horrible storm in the summer and I didn't have power (and because I'm on a well, no water) for 5 days. I called for info on a whole home generator and ended up going with Rock-Vern because they were the most professional, nicest, and patient people I had talked to after tons of calls! They answered all of my annoying questions, did the install as soon as the generator came in, and they were SO amazing about the whole experience. Since then I've used them to do my routine generator maintenance and have had the same great service. I especially love how down to earth and cool these guys are. They are also pet friendly (they worked around my doggos and made sure the dogs were secure and safe during excavation and install).
