If I could give them six out of five stars, I totally would! Not only was the price reasonable, but they had a crew that came out and worked very efficiently and got things done in just a little bit over a day. DJ was incredibly easy to communicate with and get a hold of and the team was very professional. So replacing them was becoming increasingly necessary. I did a search for fencing companies in Austin that were good, and somewhere I stumbled upon Purple Fencing Company, and I'm glad I did. I reached out and soon came in contact with DJ. A name you'll see in many of these reviews. DJ is amazing. DJ came out, took his measurements and got to understand the location. He took my input on what I wanted, and we started planning from there. Now many home improvement contractors, they have a set of products they work with and that's what you get. Purple doesn't work like that. I had very specific wants, and I worked with DJ for quite a while narrowing down and refining the project. I was able to send him ideas for what I wanted and we both looked into different fencing products and he worked meticulously to craft several proposals. All without me having ever paid a cent mind you. I could have walked away at any point, but that never stopped DJ and Purple from putting in the work. That's wild. I'd also like to stress that Purple can build you a nice basic wooden fence if you want and/or that's your budget. But from my dealings, they'll get extremely bespoke if you're willing to spend the cash. Some of the options that came up were absolutely wild, but ultimately beyond what I wanted to spend. But yeah if you're a millionaire looking to drop a pretty penny on a completely custom fence, I bet Purple will do it. My project fell somewhere in the middle. It wasn't cheap by any means, but my build primarily used off the shelf parts. Specifically, we decided on an eight foot vertical Slip Fence shadowbox fence for the sides and metal fencing resembling wrought iron out front and out back. This gave me and my neighbors privacy while granting a view of the creek bed behind my house. While Purple has worked with the metal fencing forever, the Slip Fence product line was actually something they'd never touched before. Again, Purple gives you options. Once we settled on a plan and I paid the deposit, Purple ordered materials. Once they arrived, we scheduled the project. The crew for my project was lead by Santos. Santos' crew worked hard over the course of a few days to remove the old fence (whatever rot and gravity hadn't already removed) and to put up the new fencing. I'd like to note that they worked long hours too. That crew really seems to take their jobs seriously. I did go out after they left to see their progress. There were occasionally concerns I'd had, but those concerns were always gone by the next day without any intervention from myself. (This weld looks rough, oh they fixed it on their own the next day! These pickets are touching the ground, oh they weren't fastened yet!) Ultimately their attention to detail was wonderful just like their work ethic. Once the fence was completed, DJ had their stainer, David, get in contact with me. I believe he's a subcontractor, but he was super friendly and did an excellent job as well! I'm not sure what his business name is but I'd recommend him as well! In the end, I did notice an issue where one of the hinges on one of the gates was crooked making it harder to open. As well, another gate that had initially latched had come out of alignment due to settling after the first major rain storm, which isn't abnormal. I talked to DJ, and he had people come out and fix both issues under warranty. So the warranty process was smooth as well! Overall, I'm very happy with the customizability, the service and the craftsmanship that Purple Fencing Company offers.
