I was very happy with them until now. During a routine winter furnace check (done by another company), it was discovered that the heat exchanger was cracked/failing. I called Lennox and confirmed my extended warranty was still valid: parts are covered, but not labor. That was fine. I then called Pro Temp to ask about labor costs for the repair, and was told they would not repair the unit at all because I hadn’t used THEM for annual maintenance. They called it a “breach of contract” and said it was a “liability” for them to touch it. I was honestly shocked. They wouldn’t even come out to look at the unit, even for a paid service call. That felt extremely shady and disappointing for a company I had trusted. It’s also worth noting that Jamie, who was always great to work with, is no longer there (apparently as of two weeks ago). Based on my experience today, it seems like he was the backbone of all the good reviews. - 5/5 — Anonymous ProTemp of Illinois did a wonderful job. Jamie came out to provide an estimate the same day I called, even though it was late in the day. Two days later, Julio and his partner came and installed a new furnace and AC, taking away my old units and making sure everything was clean and back together before they left. Everything is working great. Thank goodness... with the heat we've been having, we would have been miserable!
