Warning, You’ll be charged for an incompetent service man for on the job training, and they’ll bill you for uncompleted work . tell you they ordered parts when they didn't , and leave you and your tenants out in the cold for weeks. They certainly aren’t the reliable honest company of the past.
Spoke to owner, very rude and full of false accusations.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I’m not someone who writes reviews but I am making a point to post this. We have purchased a water heater, new AC, and almost purchased a furnace from them all in the last 3 years. I now question whether or not we actually needed to replace our water heater and AC, because they heavily pitched us on just buying a new one and that time we trusted them. When our furnace stopped working, we called them yet again and their tech came out and spent a couple hours trying to fix the problem before deciding we needed a new motherboard. He contacted “his reps” and we waited for a week for “his reps” to ultimately send the wrong part. No one at northern plains realized this and the tech came out and worked on putting the wrong motherboard in for a few hours. When the tech eventually figured out it was the wrong part, he contacted “his rep” and they said they actually can’t get our motherboard anymore. Thus, we would have to buy a whole new furnace. By this point, we were without heat for 2+ weeks in mid to late October with two young kids. Then the sales guy calls me to pitch me his quotes on a new furnace and talks down to me because I’m a woman, telling me maybe I should speak with my husband about it. Disgusting. He gives me a quote that is about $1500 higher than the other company we ultimately went with. Fast forward to now and this company has the guts to send us a bill for the second visit that was a complete waste of their tech’s time and ours. The tech fumbled around doing nothing the entire time he was here the second time before realizing it was the wrong part. To be clear, we are MORE than happy to pay for his time for the initial visit when we didn’t know what was wrong and he ran diagnostics, but it’s not our fault their “rep” sent the wrong part and sent their tech on a wild goose chase for 3 hours. Send the bill to their rep or eat the cost. If the rep had told them they couldn’t get the part in the first place, it would have been over with right there. When my husband called to argue this point, the sales guy acted like he was doing us a huge favor by taking off some of the cost of the second visit, but wouldn’t remove it altogether. We shouldn’t be paying for their rep’s mistake. Absolutely sleazy way of doing business. I have already told multiple people never to work with this company and plan to tell everyone who will listen never to work with them. This is NOT how you treat people, especially good customers who have already purchased an AC and water heater through you. Shame on you.

I can't give them a zero. I called for sewer leak. I was asked if I was a current customer. I explained that they did all the plumbing, heating, and cooling when I built my house about 12 years ago. I also explained that they did my plumbing, heating, and cooling when I finished my basement 7 years ago. The person who answered, asked if they had been back since. I said, yes probably for furnace or air conditioner maintenance. I was told "we are booking pretty far out" and she promptly hung up the phone. Very poor customer service. Apparently all that work we had done means we aren't a current customer. They will never get another penny from me, but obviously that doesn't matter.

I had Russ come and fix a leaking P-drain in my bathroom. Russ was rude to my daughter who let him in and told me on the phone that my P-drain that leaked wasn’t the reason sewer gas smell was emitting from the drain but the Bismarck water. Then Russ told me to get another plumber after I disagreed with him. Russ did say he fixed my leaking P-drain. I called the manager to tell them what Russ said and his attitude towards customers but that was four days ago and o have yet to have the manager return my call. I have had this service many times in the past but won’t use them after this experience. I took Russ advise and next time I need a plumber I’ll call a different business.

We called today to see about getting someone to replace a shut off valve on a toilet. Within 30 minutes the tech arrived. Russ was very friendly and professional. He not only replaced the shut off valve but also addressed 2 other small fixes. Thanks again Russ. We will definitely request you in the future!
