First they are a Generac Authorized Dealer allowing them to offer extended warranties, emergent and routine maintenance, and remote monitoring of our generator. Ron the owner, Marsha and the rest of his staff have all been professional. The reason for the low rating is due to the fact that we had to pay for the estimate and the repair. It was not clear to us that we would have to pay for the estimate and when we inquired about this they cited that "everyone charges for estimates" which is absolutely untrue. "Old school" shouldn't mean making errors and forgetting to even get a customer's information while doing an estimate walk-through. That's being unprofessional and unqualified. A representative came out to my house for an estimate and forgot to even ask about my home's energy requirements. He calls back to actually ask me the required questions and I tried to tell him that we didn't need to power everything in our house and he cut me off. Wouldn't even listen to me. He then sent me quotes for a full house generator and partial house generator even though he didn't get the information from me for partial at all. The whole experience was bizarre. He spent most of the consultation giving me his life history and shaming other customers for not spending top dollar. I feel like he didn't even bother to give me other options for our generator because he only wanted to sell us the $17,000 option. Sorry, dude. We are first time homebuyers.
