Waking up on the 9 degree morning without any heat in the house was such an invigorating experience, it sent me to the internet in search of a smiling face that would answer my SOS. Cathryn answered the phone when I called and surprisingly recognized my voice. Seems our company had provided her with services earlier in the year and she recognized my apparently unique voice. MJ Heating & Air answered the call and were out to my house within a couple of hours. They quickly identified the issue, but instead of asking me for a large repair fee, they let me know that the 23 year old unit wasn't long for this rock and instead of double charging me, we decided replacing the heating unit in place of patching it back together for 1/4th the price was the way to go. Seems in Colorado after January 1, 2026, new heating units are going to double in price due to new environmental requirements and there will be no getting around the new EXPENSIVE units. With that understood, we bumped fists and scheduled the install for two days later. Two days later brought our first big snowstorm of the season, but not to be deterred they showed up as scheduled and within a few hours we were toasting our new heater with a smile. Thanks to the both of you and those that helped with the install. Being able to make a single phone call and actually have those at the other end of the line complete their end in a professional manner is exactly the way we want to run our business. It was poorly installed.in the crawl space of a very old home in downtown Colorado Springs. The first company that looked at it gave a half-dozen reasons (with a lot drama) why it would be "incredibly difficult" and expensive, then provided a sky-high estimate. When MJ Heating came out, they spent some time under the house examining the prior unit and duct work, then said "We can do this, no problem." Their estimate was more than reasonable, and 2 days later they did the installation. There were some difficult issues with duct work that could not be seen until the old unit was.removed, but they did not up-charge for it. Quick, professional, and friendly. The heat is on!
