  I was a little hesitant having a new contractor price a job for me, but David made me feel at ease with the process. When Howard showed up, he made sure my input was part of the process and didn't consider the job complete until I was satisfied. I loved the outcome. It came out even better than expected.

I contracted minijobs to install a range hood in my kitchen. They did a very professional install. I would highly recommend minijobs for any small projects you need done. If I have another such project I will not hesitate to contact them again.

  This went fantastic!  We started by making contact and got a very fast response from David. This was followed by an estimate breaking down all elements and costs (I liked that) and emailed to me in PDF form. We were off to a great start!

Our team (Chris & Floyd) were very nice, personable guys. They were unobtrusive, attentive (we work here & have pets) and helpful with their tips and answers to questions I had. Did a great job for us and got it all done in only 3 days.

Mini Jobs was not the cheapest nor the most expensive quote we got. But, the professional way it was presented and explained...we felt comfortable and confident to move forward and sign with them. Yes, I would refer them again, as a matter of fact they are starting work on my other bathroom now! I guess that speaks for itself.

  I have now hired MiniJobs multiple times and plan to work with them in the future. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences working with them.

MiniJobs has (among other things):
-	installed a new toilet (and installed a new power outlet near it for its bidet feature);
-	relocated various light switches and power outlets;
-	installed a dishwasher (the delivery person was supposed to install it but refused to, citing nonexistent complications), modifying my cabinet toe kick to accommodate it;
-	enclosed a portion of the entryway to my apartment to create two closets. (More on this below.)

All of MiniJobs’ work was done efficiently and professionally. They consistently think through the job in advance and plan out the work before doing it—unlike another firm I worked with, whose general approach was to rush in and work without really planning, on the assumption that anything could be fixed or patched afterwards. (“We’ll just put some mud over that”—I got really sick of hearing that phrase…)

The closet work was especially tricky. It required extending an existing living room wall, and framing in some of the living room and entry area space to create two side-by-side closets. The closets needed to end up perfectly aligned, but the surfaces they had to work with were _not_ actually aligned. (It’s hard to describe, but my point is, the work required careful measurement and planning before doing a thing.) And they nailed it. The space looks fantastic. You cannot tell where the living room wall used to end—their extension is that perfect and seamless. More generally, when MiniJobs has to create a hole in a wall, they seem to patch it so well that it’s difficult to find.

David makes a point of understanding the project very well in advance, so that he can anticipate all of the supplies his team will need. That other firm? Constantly leaving my home to run to Home Depot to buy things they were _obviously_ going to need to do the job, causing the work to drag on _days_ longer than necessary.

MiniJobs works carefully to protect floors and other surfaces from damage, and they clean up thoroughly before leaving. The other firm? Never bothered to protect my floors and caused numerous gashes and scrapes in my _brand new_ walnut flooring; and routinely left without doing _any_ cleanup, even after doing electrical work and carpentry in my bedroom (leaving loads of wire clippings and sheetrock dust on my bedroom floor).

I expect to work with MiniJobs on pretty much all of my future home improvement projects.

  ZERO STARS IF I COULD- DO NOT USE!!!

I should have checked the reviews on here before I committed to this company.

This company is dishonest and has the worst communication skills I have ever dealt with.

They don't answer emails or phone calls, and IF they do it takes them a few days to respond, and WHEN they do, the phone calls are late at night - called me at 10PM on a Sunday night to discuss the projects that were scheduled at 9AM the next day. They rarely reply during business hours.

I had three small projects at my house and David said it would be $90/hour. I agreed with that thinking it would be around 3 hours of work for one person. He also said that if materials were needed they would charge transit time to pick them up. I did not agree with that and asked for what they needed and I would pick it all up to avoid the transit fees and up charge. The list was never sent. They did it all on their own and charged me $132 ($90 for the hour it took and $42 in materials) for a wall outlet and some wire - I had all the other materials already that they needed.

I am pretty handy myself, but I was busy and needed a hand to complete a few projects in a timely manner. I know my way around a hardware store too and they said I would have picked up the wrong parts so they were saving me money so they wouldn't have to go back to the store to get the correct parts.

When Mini Jobs arrived two people showed up at different times. I questioned this because he didn't say he was sending two people and did not say it was $90 per person per hour. The two guys worked on the same project while they could've worked simultaneously for a quicker job. One guy didn't know what to do at all, and the other guy had the knowledge, but moved as fast as a slug - he was also very dirty and smelled like a dumpster filled with cigarette butts. They said they also saved me money with two people there because the projects might've needed two people, but with their expertise they figured out how to do it all with only one person, hmmmm sounds skeptical.

After the jobs were complete, one guy stayed in his car in front of my house for over an HOUR. They said they didn't charge me for that on invoice but when I questioned the hours they removed 30 minutes. I questioned the invoice the day I received it and it took them 9 days to reply with clarification. Oh ya, the 30 minutes they took off that I questioned, they said would be covered with the early discount pay they offered ($60 off if you pay in 5 days by check). HAHA that is not how it works. I paid this in full after the corrections on my end and they never replied to me about it or questioned me. Do they know they are in the wrong? Absolutely.

I will never use this company and will never recommend them to anyone.

David and Patsy are the two owners and they should be reported to BBB.
