The quotes were not only extremely competitive, but also reasonably priced between the different tiers of options. The HVAC company we had used for years quoted us some prices for their different models, all being the same brand. The prices quoted were higher than I expected for a brand I wasn’t that familiar with. After researching HVAC brands online, I found two which consistently had good ratings for price, performance, customer satisfaction, and longevity. I selected Lennox and Trane as the two brands which best matched my needs. I then researched local HVAC companies who are rated A or A+ with Better Business Bureau of the Midwest Plains. Those searches lead me to Midwest Heating Cooling & Plumbing (MHC&P). They sell and service both Lennox and Trane and are a local family-owned business that have a long history in in Kansas City and surrounding area. They have outstanding ratings and reviews on Google and other social media sites. I now know why the ratings are so high. The customer service is excellent! James, our salesperson, is outstanding! He inspected our old model and did measurements. He proposed three models with Good, Better, Best price points, efficiency ratings, and technology for both he Lennox and Trane brands. His printed proposal was so straight forward and easy to read and understand. The proposals showed the comparisons between Lennox and Trane as brands and also and the comparisons of the Good, Better, and Best models within each brand. James told me his thoughts on the pros and cons of each brand and those brands models. He never pushed one brand over the other or one model over the other two within that brand. He just laid out the facts so I could ask questions and decide which brand and model best fit us. James also explained current rebate and incentive programs and the warranties with each brand and model. I ended up selecting a Lennox HVAC system, the Better model. The installation was flawless! It was amazing to me how easily they removed our old system and installed the new system. There were no glitches, no problems, it just went like clockwork! The team worked very efficiently with different people working on different parts of the install. After the installation and tutorial on the operation of the system, the crew left our house exactly as it was when they first arrived. There were no pieces of the old stuff anywhere, no packing material, no loose screws, nothing except a new shiny HVAC system! They were extremely transparent about pricing and exactly what needed to be done—clear, honest, and straightforward. While furnace repairs are never cheap, their pricing was far more reasonable.
