Our 20+ year old furnace stopped working over the holidays and they sent someone out to troubleshoot and were able to get it diagnosed and restarted that day. The next week they installed a new unit for a fair price and they even helped submit rebate paperwork on our behalf. The new furnace is so quiet compared to our old one.

Me and my spouse had an excellent experience with this company! We are new to Michigan and homeownership. When the motor in our furnace started running really loudly, we contacted Michigan Building & Mechanical to check it out. They were here in just a few hours and got the part replaced. Jamie was great to work with. He explained the cost benefit of replacing vs not replacing the part as well as general maintenance and problem solving if our furnace ever has issues. We will be contacting them again if we have any other issues!

Josh swiftly came out to inspect why my heat wasn’t coming on. Ended up being a mistake I made, but he was done in around 10 minutes! Job was so easy, he only charged the basic $99 fee.

A+ all around and will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family.

I had a technician diagnose a furnace issue. Before he repaired it, he told me that the bill would be $400 (with the $99 service fee). I said to go forward with the repair.

After he completed the work, he again informed me that the bill would be around $400, and I would receive the payment request on Monday.

I got a bill in the mail for $550. When questioned, they deny that the technician twice told me $400 (even after completion of the work). I requested to talk to a manager, who never called me back. I paid the bill, but beware of using them. They have a couple other negative reviews about overcharging on their Facebook page, so I am not alone in this complaint.

I've been using Michigan Building & Mechanical for 17 years. I have a maintenance contract for both heating and cooling, so both systems are covered. I have the same technician, so Rodney knows the systems and how I like my home environment. He does a great job, but more than that, he's a good listener, he explains to me what is going on and what he's doing, and he has great interpersonal skills. I've had to use their emergency service a couple of times and got the same great service...in the middle of the night! I recently moved and took my maintenance contract, Rodney and their great service with me. Thanks to Rodney and the rest of the crew for their excellent service!
