This is the most unethical company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We had this unit installed one year ago and have had problem after problem. They finally agreed to a replacement last fall after sending part after part with no success in fixing it. We were told we would get a new unit when in fact they just rebuilt the old unit and sent it back. This was only after calling and pleading with the owner of this company who is rude and volatile to say the least, not to mention unprofessional. I was practically in tears begging for help because we had been with our heat for months and he yelled at me. He has hung up on my husband, hung up on me, and the HVAC tech who spoke with him confirmed he is awful. We were without heat for over 3 months this winter in our brand new home. Now we turn the AC on for the first time and were woken up in the night because it was blowing heat measuring at 111 degrees coming out of the vents! 111 when the thermostat was set on 72! We have done everything he has told us including replacing the thermostat. We have used two different HVAC companies for the benefit of a second opinion. Both companies agree the unit is garbage. I called again for help and he only makes excuses. This time he says it’s the tech’s fault who installed it. He will not take responsibility for a faulty unit. When I told him he needed to take responsibility he hung up on me. Horrible company. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS MAN.

I purchased a 5 ton geothermal unit a little less than one year ago and had it installed here in Ohio. It worked well until late December when it started to have an issue. It appeared that it had a very slow leak. Local technician attempted to repair it but was unable to get it working optimally. Miami heat pump set a replacement unit and took the old one back. The unit works beautifully, efficiently and quietly. They seem to stand behind their product.

Great Value for a geothermal heat pump. I bought a 2.5 ton. Put in a 500 foot well with 1.5 inch pipe. Cost around 25K total. Heats my house in a NY winter.

I recently purchased a 5 ton unit from MHP and feel that I must publish my experience with all aspects of my purchase.

Not only am I extremely satisfied with the unit - but cannot say enough about the people who I worked with at MHP during the spec and built process of this unit. They are professional, knowledgeable and extremely polite and helpful. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who is interested in purchasing a well designed unit

  UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE:
If you’re reading this, I trust you can see the indifference I was referring to in my original post via their response. I won’t say anymore about it.

——————————————————————

Bought a house with a MHP unit already installed. Been here for 3 weeks and it has sprung a leak at the connection points on the unit. Called support to try and see what my options were and was told, no matter what I asked, "it's a plumping issue." Nothing else. No advice on how to temporarily stop the leak. No pointers on who I might call. Just, "it's a plumbing issue." Over and over again. Eventually I just said OK and he hung up.

Unit is 2 years old, but because I'm not the original owner, warranty is void, although I know the original owner personally.

I understand that this dude's hands may be tied and I also understand warrany policies. But the incredibly unhelpful, repeated "it's a plumbing job." communicates that he had no time for my issue and wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. If I had a spare $5k, I'd throw this unit out and replace it with something better just so I didn't have to call again.
