Afterwards, it would not flush correctly despite no observable blockages. I called Markwood Plumbing and not only did he help me troubleshoot the problem that day, but he also came out for an assessment after my troubleshooting did not work and was able to make recommendation for me to get my situation fixed. His call out fee was reasonable, and his solution made sense. It ended up being a problem with the bowl being blocked with debris from my failed attempt at repair and the solution was a new toilet installation. He coordinated a time with me and was able to get the toilet changed. Everything works perfectly! I highly recommend Markwood Plumbing! He even let me watch and ask questions during the process so I could better educate myself, which is not necessarily something most would welcome, but that added bit of care was definitely noticed and greatly appreciated! We had an issue with the hardware in one of our showers and it would leak water everywhere as long as the water to the house was on. I called Ron in the morning and explained the problem to him and sent him pictures. As it turned out, the piece I needed to replace was almost non-existent locally and would need to be ordered. Ordering something was not even a consideration due to the issues with quarantine from The Rona. Despite having an already jammed packed day, Ron continued calling around to parts locations and ultimately found the part we needed in an entirely different city. Ron then drove an hour each way just to pick up the part and bring it to our house. It took him all of five minutes to repair it. Through it all, he maintained contact with me throughout the day giving me updates as he went along. As soon as he was able to get the part we needed, he notified me that he was on his way. After all of his time, effort and travel he spent on locating this part, he could have charged me outrageously and been justified for doing so, but he didn't. He was more than extremely fair with his price. That he went to that extent of effort and trouble to locate a part for a repair that he knew wasn't going to take him long says a lot about his professionalism and his dedication to taking care of customers in need.
