He assessed the system through the thermostat first and then he went up on the roof to look at the system. He changed the filter and it also needed refrigerant since it had not been serviced in quite a while. He took photos and explained all of the numerical readings based on where my system was and where it was after it was serviced which no one has ever done before. I know very little about AC systems, however he explained it to me in a way that I could digest. He was very punctual, courteous, professional and communicated well. It was probably one of the best a c service experiences I have had. I will use this company in the future other a c needs. This is our second encounter in 6 yearsxand both experiences were good with a personal touch. We are now ready for the summer heat. Thank you again. - 4/5 — Anonymous UPDATE#2: LA Construction eventually did come out and do an extra application of sealant on the duct. I am still a bit bothered because the duct will require extra maintenance and vigilance to ensure that it doesn't end up leaking every time it rains, but LA Construction did cover the costs for the interior drywall repairs, which was extremely professional and went above and beyond. They would have received their original 5-star rating if I never had to deal with the leak in the first place because overall the installation process was positive and the price was competitive, but the saga with the leaking duct puts them at 4-stars. UPDATE: Ever since LA Construction installed my AC unit, furnace, and duct work, there has been an active leak from one of the ducts they've installed every time it rains. I've already called them twice (back in December and again the other week, the only times we've had significant rain): they were unable to repair it in December and haven't returned my calls or emails since the leak returned in March. I have a new roof surrounding this section of ducting, so the leak source is definitely from work done by LA Construction and it needs to be fixed! Previously: I had a great experience with LA Construction: we had an AC/Furnace installed in our 100 year old home and LA Construction got us priced, scheduled, and installed with little trouble.
