There was a lot to be done to complete my project and all of it was completed quickly and for an amazing price! Their consideration and care for our situation was above and beyond. If you are using a different AC company, you are using the wrong one. - 5/5 — Anonymous JB did an outstanding job on repairing my dryer exhaust in my attic. While reviewing my residence for another job, he noticed the issue, and I’m glad he did. I was unaware that the vent was never properly attached, and lint had been collecting in the attic. Furthermore, the lint exhaust system had been clogged up, not only did he spot the problem, but cleaned out the system and repair it to be fully functional. He did it in a timely manner and was a true professional. I can’t thank him enough for catching that potential major fire hazard! - 2/5 — Anonymous Paid $95 for them to diagnose the AC system. Was told the capacitor was bad, needed the drain pipe flushed, and needed 4lbs of Freon. Got a 2nd opinion and was told that there’s a leak and there is actually zero Freon in the system. They also said the capacitor was NOT bad and that the drain pipe was NOT clogged. I feel content with my decision to do business with JBC Repairs. The air conditioning technicians were friendly and respectful of my home. For example, my family and guests remove shoes in my home, so the technicians covered the carpet— a path downstairs, the stairwell, and their work area upstairs— with an adhesive plastic that protected my carpet and was also safe for the techs to walk and work on due to the adhesion. Also, the techs cleaned up after themselves, leaving behind no trace of a full day’s work. Moreover, the finished installation looks professionally done, which goes without saying since the job was completed by JBC Repairs, Air condition and Heating— a licensed and insured certified air conditioning contractor. I’m no inspector, but so far it seems like a proper installation that will pass inspection. Most importantly, JBC Repairs, brought a matter to my attention that would have significantly increased the cost if I chose to have certain models installed… Replacing an AC unit is a significant investment, for that reason I completed multiple estimates. During the other estimate appointments those company representatives came to my home, assessed my unit, but failed to mention that an additional job of upgrading my copper line-set/refrigerant lines would be required in order to install their proposed units. Communicating the probability of necessary upgrades and the associated cost would have exhibited transparent communication and upfront pricing, but I believe their proposals provided me with lower estimates knowing that an additional big and expensive job would have to be completed before their proposed units could be installed. Moreover, due to their fine print, signing either of those proposals would have resulted in me becoming just another example of a little person being taken advantage of by a BIG company. I share all that to say that JBC Repairs brought the matter to my attention and then worked WITH me by presenting brands and models that are compatible with my current copper line-set and within my budget. For the reasons that I’ve shared in this review, I recommend JBC Repairs to consumers who value good character and upfront pricing. Replacing an AC unit is a significant investment, and we as consumers don’t know what we don’t know.
