The Cuban guy didn’t speak English, but we managed to communicate using a translation app. It was a bit strange when I was told they would install four new GFCI outlets and upgrade one, but then told me I didn’t need it. I didn’t understand when I came to see Inspection, so I asked for the upgrade because the water was nearby. After going back and forth, they agreed to do the job now. It’s just a matter of waiting and seeing if FPL will turn off the power after Christmas so they can replace the outside panel and finish the job. I’m happy with the job and the communication. They should be working on the outside panels by the end of December, and I’ll update you with more photos. Wow job well done, definitely need patience due to FPL as a company requested to turn the power off on a Friday Dec 26, they show up Monday Dec 29 at 2p. Company worker came to finish the job and another request was sent to FPL at 5:30p and by 8:45p FPL show up and power back on. Invannova left at 7p and will be returning on Tuesday Dec 30 make sure everything is done. Was able to out a 2nd GFCI plug in kitchen. For an extremely small and straightforward job, they were unable to provide even a basic estimate for over 15 days. During this time, I was repeatedly told “we will send it on Thursday,” which never happened. Zero follow-through, zero accountability. When I finally expressed my frustration, instead of acting professionally, the owner responded with defensive, emotional, and personal attacks, attempting to blame me for their own failure to deliver. That response alone clearly demonstrates their lack of professionalism and emotional control. For the record, I hired another subcontractor who showed up within one day, completed the work properly, and passed inspection without any issues. The contrast in professionalism could not be more obvious. A serious contractor does not attack clients, make excuses, or rewrite history when they fail to perform. This experience shows poor communication, poor time management, and an unacceptable attitude toward potential clients.
