  The incomplete work we have discovered could have been life changing for our whole family. The unprofessional work truly shows. The work we paid for was never completed as they stated it was. Now we are finding ourselves in repairs that we should not have to be doing. We paid over 10k for Higgins to do a job. The return that was put in was never properly done with the proper enclosure. Seals. Wraps were not completed on ductwork. Now we are paying another company to fix the incomplete mess left behind by Higgins out of Callahan Fl.  I’m so upset by this because our main concern is the health of our children. This could have resulted in massive damage, mold damage that could have made us very sick.

  Exceptional Service and Quick Response

Today, I had a frustrating experience with the company I purchased my $9500 HVAC system from three weeks ago. They failed to address my pleas for help today : no answer, leaving me disappointed and without A/C. However, my experience with Huggins turned the situation around completely.

I called Huggins and within less than two hours, I had a perfectly functioning and cool A/C system. The initial representative I spoke with was attentive and empathetic, understanding the urgency of my situation. He even provided me with a time window to make a decision, whether to endure the heat (since it was still under warranty) and wait for the original company to respond and send an installation team, or opt for immediate repairs.

To compare prices and availability, I reached out to a couple of other companies, but I quickly called Huggins back. The competitors quoted me rates of $295 and $350 for same-day after-hours service, while Huggins offered a reasonable rate of only $175. Their affordability was a pleasant surprise.

I must commend Steven, the technician who assisted me. He had an excellent approach, showing great expertise and thoroughness in diagnosing and troubleshooting the issues. His efforts were truly commendable, and he proved to be a valuable asset to your company. Give this man a raise!!!

As someone who rarely writes reviews, I feel compelled to share this positive experience. Huggins went above and beyond my expectations, providing stellar service and resolving my problem efficiently. I highly recommend them for their outstanding customer service, reasonable pricing, and the exceptional work of Steven.

  I recently had two new AC units installed during a home remodel, and my contractor recommended Huggins for the job. I initially planned to go with another company but decided to trust the recommendation—a decision I now regret.

At first, I was impressed by the hospitality of the owner, which gave me confidence in the company. However, things quickly took a turn. During the installation process, it became apparent there was significant turnover in their staff, which raised red flags about consistency and expertise.

Post-installation, the issues began. One of the units had so many problems that Bosch eventually replaced it entirely. However, the root cause of the issue was an installation error—not a problem with Bosch’s equipment. Hudgins visited my home at least ten times to address the issues but failed to resolve them. Despite repeated attempts, they ultimately told me they could no longer help. I was left stunned—how can a company simply give up on a problem they created?

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Huggins. Investing in new AC units is a significant expense, and I expected a higher level of professionalism and support. They did not stand by their work or ensure the job was done correctly. I would appreciate it if the company would take responsibility and find a way to make this right.

  My $6400.00 package unit was installed during May 2024.  It was discovered during October 2024 the Heater was not working, nothing worked.  When it was checked the technician determined that the cable connecting the Heater was needing replacement.  The technician who installed it agreed that they didn't check the Heater before completion of the install.  In talking with "Buck" he states that he needs to create a Invoice for the cable and also charge me for labor to come out as well as the day before (it took 2 days to remedy) which I Strongly Disagreed with.  I stated that had they checked the Heating  at installing the issue would have been discovered and resolved, however Buck stated that they don't check it when installation is done during the summer ( May) months.  The technician backed this up too (The house be too hot inside to check out the heater).  I suggested that should that be the case, after 30-45 minutes of running time with the New AC unit, the house should be Cool enough to validate the operation of the heating side of the unit Thus, "The Unit is Fully Functioning".  Same goes for replacement during cold months.
I was charged $300.00 (as the invoice stated) for Cable which cost $1.07/Ft.  Had they completely checked All Functions of the New Unit when they installed it, they won't have to spend 2 days installing a new cable.  I paid $1250.00 for the new install Labor, and certainly it would would be a small fee added for 20 Feet of Cable.
I should Not be Paying $300.00, in addition, you lost 2 days of a Technician ability to work other jobs.

  Huggins is fast, reliable and honest. I called around several places to get estimates and they were the most reasonable. As soon as the men showed up, they didn’t stop working until the new unit was installed. Cleaned up and were very professional. I highly recommend this company for any AC need!
