I called Fernando to come take a look and he correctly observed that the gates had originally been "overbuilt" and were actually too heavy for the hinges given the mounting available, but that he would send over a couple of guys to address the issue as best as possible until I can totally replace the gates (for which he gave me a reasonable quote). Lupe and his co-worker came over and cleverly rehung the gates to swing freely in such a manner that I believe will last quite a while. I really appreciate that Fernando and Home Town stood behind their previous work and corrected the problem at no additional charge; I would not hesitate to give them a call going forward! - 3/5 — Anonymous Pros: The fence looks great, the pricing was fair, and they got the job done in one day. Cons: I was told the job would be on April 8th. I got a text on April 1st asking if they could do the job on the 4th instead, but I never confirmed as I was out of town and the property is a rental, so I had to wait for approval from my tenants. Instead of asking me again if the 4th worked, or waiting until the 8th, they just decided to rip the fence down and do the job without my approval. I had to have my neighbor text me that they were replacing the fence. My point of contact did not answer my call or reply to my text until I withheld payment to hear back. IMO it's incredibly unprofessional and ruined my experience with Home Town Fence as a whole. If you want a good fence replacement at a fair price and you don't care when they show up unannounced, Home Town Fence is a great option. - 5/5 — Anonymous Working with Home Town Fence has been such a great experience. Excellent customer service… I had some issues working with my creditor, and Tobias and his team were consistent in responding to me, initiating a conference call with my creditor, and helping me resolve the issue through to the end. And the fence is high-quality, was installed on time if not earlier than expected, and the entire team down to the on-site foreman was professional, hard-working, and overall just a pleasure to work with. They were able to get it done quick. The sales process with Jacob was easy - he came out to view the property and get me a quote quickly after my request. He was great with communication and the quote was ~$700 less than the previous bid from another company. The estimated start date was 3 weeks out, but they showed up 10 days after we got the paperwork signed. Louis and his team did a great job - gave me updates along the way and had about 70 feet of fencing and a gate installed within a day.
