Another local HVAC company came out and quoted a price, but also stated that because the previous system was so old, the lines would need to be replaced. An additional $2500 (minimum) would be charged to a construction company to help install those. However, I'm so glad I contacted Home Comfort for a second bid. The response from Cory was superspeed, the customer service exemplary, and because the price was slightly under the other bid, I went with them. Cory was able to determine the lines DIDN'T need to be replaced, saving me $2500 by eliminating the need for a construction contractor, and then filed for the EWEB rebate on the new efficient system, netting me another $1000 in return.
