When my furnace had issues early on a very cold morning, I called Residential Heating & Air Conditioning and was lucky to have Hudson at the answering service pick up. He assured me that he would get me on the list to be seen as soon as possible. At about 7 that same morning Hudson called me back to tell me that a technician had been assigned and that I would be his first appointment of the day. I really appreciated Hudson’s calm and caring support that cold morning.

Thomas was the technician assigned to me. He did a thorough system check and told me that the furnace could be fixed but that it might not last long and explained why. He patiently answered all of my questions as I tried to decide what to do, never making me feel rushed. When I made the decision to replace the furnace, Thomas spent additional time with me to talk about options and came up with estimates that would suit my needs. After the decision was made, Thomas coordinated the installation, and after that he came back to make sure everything was installed correctly and answered even more questions. When the new furnace humidifier wasn’t working correctly, Thomas prioritized my call so that it could be fixed right away. Working with Thomas was a great experience. He was patient, thorough, friendly, competent, and I felt that he really cared about me. I am grateful that Thomas was the technician to troubleshoot, sell and oversee my furnace installation.

George and the installation crew spent many hours that cold day of installation to get the new furnace up and running. They did a great job and worked hard to make sure the furnace was installed by the end of that long working day. I was fortunate to have George and his hard-working team on the job that day.

Topher fielded my calls during office hours and answered questions, rescheduled appointments, and provided moral support. He was friendly and efficient.

Deann answered billing questions and filed for the rebates that were available for the system. I appreciate her help.

I highly recommend that you contact the Residential Heating and Air team if you are looking to fix or replace your furnace. You will be in good hands.

Residential was fantastic. We had them install a heat pump and three mini split units in our 100 year-old house in Minneapolis. Chris was extremely responsive with the quote and helped us understand all of our options. Chad and the crew showed up exactly on time and did the entire install in a single day. They were very respectful and great to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend them. We had two other companies quote the job. All three were very similar in price. Residential had the best customer experience and follow-through.

Just had my furnace (20 years old) go out and contacted Residential Heating and Air Conditioning based on a recommendation from a relative. They had a quick response time and Thomas went right to work on diagnosing the problem. He went over the issues and showed me multiple options from just get it running to full fix and cost for each and of course the option of replacement. After determining I want a replacement he went over my options and cost of each. Once I determined what was best for me, he got the ball rolling. He was very professional, courteous and a generally nice guy. I should say that this installation is in a crawl space that has cement floor and block walls so it is clean but a pain to work in. The installer Chad and another gentleman (sorry but can’t remember his name) showed up the next morning and got right to work removing and installing a new one. I did have some notes on filter size and a couple other things. Chad went over those concerns and gave me a couple of options with the pros and cons of each to help me make a choice. Both gentlemen were courteous, professional and got the job done quickly. The electricians showed up right after installation and verified the electrical and installed the new thermostat (ecobee) and again, both guys were courteous, professional and got the job done quickly. System is working great and I love the new thermostat. Wi-Fi for control from your phone and a lot of options to expand for sensors and even security options plus alerts if your out of town and there is an issue with your HVAC systems. Price was fair and service was great. Thanks to everyone at Residential Heating and Air Conditioning (also all you people in the back ground doing scheduling and the phone work) for getting me up and running again. I will definitely use them again for all my HVAC needs.

We used Residential for our heat pump installing a few years back and have been thrilled with the outcome. Just recently we joined their annual maintenance plan for a different property and have had a great experience as well. Luke came out to tune up our furnaces recently and did a great job replacing gas valves as well as a valve on our humidifier. He was very nice and answered all questions and everything is running great. Highly recommend this company.

  TL:DR
I got a new furnace replaced at my home by Residential Heating and Air Conditioning, and the process was great, smooth, in reasonable time with a reasonable price with both the sale person Dave, and the installer Brett and Charlie. I would definitely do business with them again.

Details:
My furnace started acting up so I called one of the big HVAC contractor in the area to have a look, and I was recommended a total cost over $4500 to fix multiple different things that the tech suspected may be the problem of my 16 Rheem furnace. I then decided to look into getting it replaced and was getting different quotes from different HVAC contractor.

This is when I found Residential Heating and Air Conditioning. They sent Dave over to have a look at the system to provide a quote for a new furnace the same day I requested for it. It was great working with Dave, no pushy sell at all and no rush on decision and also no "you have to answer in 1-2 days to receive this specific discount" tactic. I appreciate that he allows me to have time to think about my option before making a decision, with all the initial discount offer intact. We were able on agree on the price. He also offered if I want my furnace to have a second opinion from the HVAC tech before deciding whether I would want to fix it or get it replace, and if I decided to get it replace, he can help me get the diagnose fee deducted from the total cost of installation. He was also respectful about the first initial payment over the phone and offer to stop by to get the payment, if I do not feel comfortable giving my card number over the phone.

On the day of the installation, Brett and Charlie showed up on time and started with the installation pretty quickly. They were very polite and Brett explained to me what their plan is and how long it would take to get the furnace replaced in the beginning. The work was done in reasonable time and looks great, and at the end Brett explained to me all the things that was done and answered all the questions that I have. They also keep the work area fairly clean afterward. Overall, the installation was smooth and in reasonable time.

They also handle the rebate for the furnace from their office so customer do not have to fill it out themselves. I will update my review with more details once that that is done.
