My old AC was broken and we needed a new unit. I received many estimates, and theirs was among the best. They were very upfront about pricing and did not try to upsell things I did not need. AC units definitely need to be protected from power surges, but they happily removed that charge to bring the price down and admitted that I did not need the extra surge protector since I have a whole house surge protector on my house electrical panel. I have had other AC companies try to tell me I still needed to get surge protectors on the individual units, but electricians have told me that is not true. The space for the unit is super tight and is located where the lawn service will be bringing equipment back and forth. I asked for suggestions about what I should do, and Dmitry went to Home Depot and built a cover for the copper pipes on the exterior of the outside unit to protect them!
