Our regular supplier sent a repairman right away, but after seeming to have found and remedied the failure late in the day, suddenly the unit suffered a complete failure that would require a near complete replacement of the core heating elements. As if that wasn’t bad enough, our gas company would not be able to do the work. Scrambling to find a plumbing service early Friday morning, I called about a half-dozen different plumbing services. Roughly half either don’t service gas boilers or failed to respond at all. I finally reached one gentleman who, though unable himself to help, recommended Gary Jackson Heating Services of Keene, NH. That was the point at which the ‘sun began to break through the clouds’ of our misfortune. A pleasant woman’s voice cheerfully answered my call, listened carefully and patiently as I tried to explain my problem, and told me she would reach out to Gary (who was on another job in a nearby town) and get back to me ASAP. As good as her word, she called within a half-hour and told me Gary, himself, would come by to assess our situation before the end of the day. He arrived around 4 pm, examined our unit, and assured me that, if he could get the parts, he could do the job by Monday (New Year’s Eve Day, remember !). Could anyone in my situation hope for better news than that ?! I found Gary Jackson to be not only a very knowledgeable professional who confidently and accurately was able to diagnose our heating crisis, but was also very personable and easy to work with. He and his young associate, Cody, took great care to protect our flooring from being soiled by the many trips back and forth from the house to their truck, completed the replacement/repair in only a few hours, and carefully cleaned up when finished. As they were leaving, I learned that Gary was able to get the necessary parts so quickly because, in my view (and experience) he absolutely ‘went the extra mile’ by reaching out to a friend in a neighboring state, who was able to bring the parts to Gary on the Saturday before a holiday !!! Who does THAT these days ?! I’d give Gary Jackson Heating Services SIX stars, if that was possible. I can’t say enough positive things about the experience of working with him and his son.
