We replaced our water heater and boiler with a high efficiency combination unit. Our Comfort Advisor Jason McCue was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining our options. The installers — Rob, Rob, and Ceserin — were professional, efficient, and did outstanding work. Everything was installed perfectly and they left the area spotless. The pricing was very competitive and everyone we interacted with from the team was very helpful and efficient. Special shoutout to Jason, as well the install crew. Due to a failing furnace and a bitter cold front, we wanted to move fast and they were able to make it all happen. Would highly recommend ! - 5/5 — Anonymous Angel and Gio fixed an issue with our HVAC system a few weeks ago, right before the extreme cold snap here in NJ. First Choice sent them over the same day that I called and they arrived punctually. The initial problem diagnosis would have resulted in an even more expensive and lengthy repair, but Angel looked at it further and with Gio’s help ultimately fixed the issue speedily on the same day. When I requested to observe so I can learn more about the HVAC system, Angel enthusiastically explained the process to me - it is clear he enjoys his job. I would recommend Angel, Gio, and First Choice. - 5/5 — Anonymous I had technicians from First Choice at my house twice this week, and both times the experience was excellent—the attitude, the work, everything. After a seamless AC unit maintenance (kudos to Cesarin!), I scheduled water heater maintenance (long overdue but that’s on me). Angel and his assistant not only completed everything thoroughly but also took the time to explain what they were doing and why—very patient with my many questions! They even offered helpful advice on other plumbing issues (who knew it’s important to keep rarely used drains in service?) and adjusted our home’s water pressure to the proper level. I’m definitely a happy customer, and when something needs fixing—plumbing or electrical—First Choice truly is my first choice. (Adding a not so pretty picture of what came out of the heater. Gotta flush that thing regularly!) - 1/5 — Anonymous Worst experience I have ever had. Not only did the technician MISDIAGNOSE my furnace issue. He also had us pay an extra $1,000 for unecessary parts. When calling about this issue which arose again 2 days later, we spoke directly to the technician who completed this "repair" 2 days prior and he pretended to be someone else, not to take accountability. He even proceeded to lie about the verbal guarantee he made about this issue not happening again after the "repair". This company does NOT stand by their work and will charge you an arm and a leg for the same issue to arise 2 days later. Run for the hills. The high reviews for this company have to be paid for, because this is the worst company I have ever come across. Or perhaps the worst technician, his license and knowledge on HVAC systems and their components should be investigated.
