Knowledgable, and no hard sell. We had two other bids but Energy Solutions made the best overall impression and got our business. They did a a very thorough and professional initial visit, followed up with great communication throughout the process including explaining the quote, negotiating the contract, installation of the solar system and a new electrical panel, and scheduling inspections. Four trucks and six workers on installation day for the exterior work on the second story roof was done in one day. A new electrical panel with space for more breakers was installed the following day to minimize disruption. On both days the on-site team was efficient and a pleasure to have at and in our home. Energy Solutions removed a previous solar installation, and because they were so thoughtful and communicative, I ultimately had another 6KW installed. The entire system, old and new, worked perfectly before the team left after a single day installation. I had a one-on-one system orientation on how to use the Enphase app (wow, so much better than Solar Edge it's hard to describe), followed up quickly with closing emails to finalize the project. We sent out 4 requests for quotes to different companies, with Energy Solutions being one of them. We didn’t know very much about solar, other than we had a bunch of roof real-estate that seemed to get decent sun exposure. Our first contact was with Zach at Energy Solutions. Scheduling was easy, and he spent the time needed to take a look at everything. From our two 200-amp panels, to our attic, our generator, and taking exposure readings across our roof. He took his time, explained everything, listened to what we were trying to do, and wrapped up. I didn’t know it then, but Zach’s visit set the bar really high. The other 3 vendors were much larger companies with various product offerings and solutions. Some had the same hardware Energy Solutions offered (Enphase, REC, etc.). The first contacts and meetups were really more sales calls. These companies were trying to tell us what we wanted, and didn’t listen to what we were really asking for. Then the quotes came in. We have a 19.68kW system with storage that Energy Solutions installed. We were trying to maximize our generation capacity. The next largest system a company quote was 13kW, and that involved adding panels to our one out building requiring directional drilling to our main house (that we did not want at all). Per-panel/microinverter cost breakdown, Energy Solutions was still far and above less expensive. The install was great. The team installed everything from our 4 batteries to all the new gear and panels where it was obvious they take pride in their work. We had a tiny oopsie that resulted in a small crack in the ceiling of our living room, but Grant had it taken care of quickly and painlessly. Things happen, and the difference between a good company and a great company is how they make it right. Energy Solutions is a great company. I can’t recommend them enough. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again in a heartbeat! We had been saving for a solar system for a while but I had a bad stretch of luck construction and remodeling companies and had become hesitant to commit to such a big investment. It didn't help that I had spoken to pretty much every other solar company and felt either overwhelmed, like they were trying to up sale me on things I didn't really need to have done, or that they weren't honest. For instance another company broke one of my new gutters (It tore when their ladder fell off my roof with them on it! Insanity) and they didn't tell me and still wanted a couple hundred to put together a quote? I was really burned out! Then I found these guys and everything was suddenly great. They did a beautiful job! It was a less expensive than another company I was thinking about, they explained and coordinated things so well, the whole process was incredibly smooth, and I could tell they were happy to save me money where they could while also figuring out what was the best for my needs. Their electrician is amazing, he made everything look so nice. They worked quick but thoughtfully. We did a full solar array on our roof and a few backup batteries. I didn't know how well they would work so I didn't want to spend more money on a full set. Then we had a power outage just 2 days later and our house kept running smoothly while everyone else was without power or had to have their loud generators on 24/7. The system worked so much better than I could have expected. They also explained it really well so we knew exactly what we could do to save on power if we had needed to without feeling like we were fumbling through a new system. We were so happy with how it went that I called them back and asked if they'd come install more batteries. Our electric bill is almost nothing now and we get a lot of power outages (trees) and we can keep working and living life as normal and don't even notice.
