Had a mailbox installed about 6 months ago - purchase process was painless and no issues with installation. As a house with 4 dogs, I really appreciated that they came, installed the mailbox, and left without ringing the doorbell to let us know they were here and getting all the dogs involved! Here we are 6 months later and a snow plow took out the mailbox. After a quick email to support to let them know what happened, I had a quote for a replacement that was able to be installed a couple days later. I was happy they worked with me to ensure I didn't have to repurchase a whole new post as it was just the mailbox that was damaged. Top notch service and speedy, professional installation! - 1/5 — Anonymous I would definitely not recommend this company, unfortunately. I had hopes that they would work out and I met with the owner a number of times. They gave a great presentation and tried to work with me on the price. Gates, an automated gate system, privacy fencing, and a very large shed. When they came to install the fencing, they made it to the wrong size and asked me to cut down my brick pillars to fit the fencing that they built. I explained that they should have measured correctly and they begrudgingly had to rebuild the entire fence on property. The sample fencing that they showed me was primed. Then they said I had to hire a separate painter and spend more money to get it to look like the sample that they showed me. I was not made aware of this. Then they installed the gates and they did not work properly. They said that it was under warranty and they would replace one of the arms. They never did. The warranty period expired and the arm still does not work correctly. I was not able to activate the emergency release for one of the arms during a snowstorm. So I called them again and they said they would send someone out. They never did, claiming that they no longer do this kind of work. In short, this company lacks integrity and business ethics. They cut customers off when it's convenient for them and take their money when it profits them. Please be very careful when researching this company. You may get a lot of potential runaround and long-term unaccountability. - 5/5 — Anonymous The entire process with Empire was easy and seamless beginning to end! We ordered our new mailbox and post online. We got exactly what we ordered and the installers were wonderful. They took great care and pride in their work and made sure we were satisfied with the end result! I definitely will Empire! - 1/5 — Anonymous First off I want to say I have used Empire Fences before and was very happy with the job they did. I am sorry I called them to do this project. 11/23/2019 I had Empire Fences in stall a painted cedar privacy fence for a cost of $11,805.00. By mid February of 2020, only 2 and a half moths after install' the fence was failing. I called & emailed them several times with no response. After finally getting a hold of Nick (The owner) on 3/6/20, he had me send pictures. I gave him access to my online photo library. He came out & looked the fence & stated the fence was in poor quality & stated it was "bad wood". He said it was "wet" causing the problems. He assureed me he would "take care of it". Nick & a rep from the wood supplier arrived at my house to inspect the fence & they both again said the wood was "wet" at install. Nick spent several weeks trying to get the supplier to pay for the replacement & they refused. At this point we entered Covid Lockdown & Nick stopped working. I did make contact with him & he continually assured me he would "take care of it". After lockdown ended Nick stated all the wood he could get now was "very poor quality". I requested he work up an estimate to replace it with vinyl & I would pay the difference. He then came back & said he could not get vinyl & to wait until the end of the year to see what happens with the supply chain. He still assured me he would "take care of it". After the supply chain issue partilly resolved he provided 2 estmates to me for wood & vinyl at full price. The wood estimate was to replace just damaged boards & he expected me to pay $8,189.00. I responded to him stating I should not have to pay for the original install as it was his fault it was not installed correctly. I said I would pay for any difference in vinyl but thats it. He made several more visits to my house to view the fence stating he would take care of it, but he eventualy stopped responding to my emails and calls. I have email chains back & forth with him for the entire period from install, through covid until now. His comunications with us during this time were very difficult, not responding or being availble to speak. The pictures shown are 2 months after the install. The Fence looks worse now. I would no longer recommend them to anyone else. I waited ample time for Nick and Empire Fences to rectify this problem before posting any bad reviews or filing any complaints, even allowing for the Covid lockdowns and supply issues that were beyond his control, but he left me no options. - 5/5 — Anonymous Nick and the Empire team did a great job installing our wood fencing, gate and deer fencing. They had great communication from start to finish and were helpful in providing solutions for what we were looking for on our property.
