Overnight the temperature of our hot water became scalding hot and I knew there must be a problem with our hot water heater. We looked up the potential issues and found that the hot water heater could burst, so this was an emergency. I called my home warranty company but couldn't get a representative to talk to. I called Dunbar and left a message telling them that this was an emergency, and within 10 minutes Brian returned my call and told me to switch the hot water heater electrical breaker to off, which would keep the unit from overheating until the home warranty company could get out here to probably replace it. Brian took care of us with no profit or benefit to him or Dunbar, knowing we would go thru our warranty company to replace it, which was amazing! It was so kind of him to help us temporarily resolve our serious concern. THANK YOU BRIAN! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

I am sad to report my disappointment in Dunbar Plumbing. I have used them before and always found them honest and performed good work. I had a slab leak and scheduled a leak detection company to come out, followed by Dunbar. I scheduled both of these services two weeks out since I was out of town. Two days before the appointment, Michelle from Dunbar texted me to cancel the appointment, stating that they were in the middle of a very large job and no longer available. The soonest they could come out would be in one month. She went on to state that she was out of town when the appointment was made and she just saw the notes about my appointment. This left me high and dry scrambling for a new plumber that I thought I secured weeks ago. This appears to be an unorganized business and will jump at the chance for the biggest job to come along with little disregard to keeping the appointments they have. I will no longer recommend them or use them, and I would be hesitant that they keep your appointment because they will jump at a bigger opportunity, if one were to present itself.

Said they would be here between 11-1. Arrived around 1:30. Less than 2 hours of work and the bill was $500 for labor. Cleared the kitchen sink, 2 sinks in the master bath, and for the small leak around the base of the toilet (installed in 2018) - claimed the wax ring needed replacing. There was no smell - just a little bit of water. $250 to replace a wax ring and supply line (that's what was on the invoice, but did not see any new parts coming in or old parts taken out.) (My daughter was home and hadn't dealt with repair before - didn't know to ask, and the person didn't tell her until it was time to pay. Checked the security camera footage. No parts coming in, no trash/old parts coming out) Was here less than 2 hours, and $500. Maybe they are great and worth the price for more technical jobs that some other reviews describe and were so happy with the work. Maybe other reviewers aren't concerned with pricing. Really disappointed that is the way they do business.

Thank you to Henry for solving my two mystery plumbing problems. I just moved to Thousand Oaks, and my first order of business was to address two plumbing problems that we encountered. I was thoroughly impressed with Henry's professionalism and his keen sense of knowledge when discussing and fixing the issues. Thank you Henry for the great experience.

Came same day to fix the problem. Henry was very efficient and polite. Would definitely use again. The price seems reasonable when researching online.
