My A/C mini split stop working and give E1 code on the screen. I filed a claim through my Choice home warranty company. Diamond Air Conditioning and Heating LLC was assigned. Dean came on Jan 19, 2026 and start run diagnostics. He said that unit has Freon leak and he will need to open the outside unit to find leak. So he told me that usually compressor is leaking and to fix that it will cost around $3k, because warranty will not cover or my other option to replace unit for $2.5K. Also he told me that Choice Home Warranty will not cover any of those expenses. I end up paying $75.00 fee and let technician go, because I was not ready spending this much money for 4 years old unit that I paid with installation $1900.00.
I spoke to Choice Home Warranty and explained situation and they said that they will find another company to check my A/C. Tech from Sears came and found that outside main module (brain) did not communicate with inside unit and that cause E1 code. He got approved by Choice Home Warranty company to replace that unit and cover the labor. When tech from Sears came back to replace that module in outside unit he found snake inside that module that cause this communication error code. Now my A/C is back and working. See photo evidence.
So, I would not trust Diamond Air Conditioning and Heating LLC after that experience.

Avoid this company at all costs!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Diamond Air Conditioning And Heating LLC (4642 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL). On August 11, 2025, I called them because my AC in Clermont stopped cooling. Their technician claimed it was a leak in the evaporator coil (which was under manufacturer warranty) and charged me $1,300 in labor to replace it. The coil was swapped on August 15th, and the AC worked for just a few hours before breaking down again.

When I called back, they only showed up on August 17th, and suddenly the story changed—the problem was now supposedly with the refrigerant lines under my house, requiring an even more expensive fix. This means their initial diagnosis was either flat-out wrong or deliberately incomplete. I was left with a non-functional AC and a $1,300 bill for nothing.

To make matters worse, after I asked for a refund, they stopped answering my calls completely. The technicians then abandoned me by telling me to “call my home warranty,” left the AC unit unsealed, and didn’t even cover up the holes they dug while checking for leaks (Pictures attached).

Extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and careless. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of.

Save yourself the headache and money—stay far away from Diamond Air Conditioning And Heating LLC.

I ordered a unit from the company back in the third of October. ETA was 6-8 weeks from the manufacturer. Here we are in January and no unit.

I’m ok that delays occur. The reason for the poor review is that I have called this company at least bi-weekly since mid December to get an update on the status of the unit.

Ashley, the receptionist is an absolute joy. I am confident that all messages have been relayed. Her manager…..well I wouldn’t know because he has yet to return any of my calls to give me an idea of where we are with this unit.

I live in Canada. I understand that delays occur so timed my visit to my Florida home for 10 weeks after expected delivery. I flew down here and this gentleman is still not taking my calls despite message after message.

The service has been disappointing to say the very least but I’m 10 weeks in on a specialty order. Too late to start anew.

I filed a claim through my home warranty company when my AC stopped working, and Diamond Air Conditioning was assigned. Two technicians recommended cleaning the unit and installing a UV light, which I paid for. After the visit, I inspected the unit and found it still dirty. After leaving a negative review, they contacted me, asking me to remove it in exchange for coming back to clean the unit properly—something that should have been done in the first place. While they returned, the AC still had mold and debris, and I was falsely told they had “done me a favor” by fixing the AC since it supposedly wasn’t covered by the warranty. In reality, the warranty company had approved a capacitor replacement, which Diamond Air Conditioning never completed.

Four days later, the AC failed again. A technician diagnosed a bad coil that needed replacement and stated the unit still had mold and had not been cleaned, despite the prior technician claiming it had been cleaned twice. The technician assured me they would submit the coil replacement request to the warranty company. The following day, the office called, stating the coil was ready for replacement. However, another technician arrived, re-diagnosed the system instead of replacing the coil, and claimed the AC needed full replacement due to a broken line, which had supposedly been missed earlier. While working, the technician caused a loud “pop,” further damaging the unit. When I expressed frustration, my concerns were dismissed, and I was told mistakes happen, the office miscommunicates, and technicians “don’t always do things right.” The technician even asked me if my life was perfect.

By Thursday, I discovered Diamond Air Conditioning had never submitted the coil replacement request as stated. Instead, they falsely claimed to the warranty company that they had attempted a repair but couldn’t complete it because I “wasn’t home long enough”—an outright lie confirmed via email from the warranty company. Furthermore, they stopped answering my calls unless I used a different number. Ultimately, the warranty company reassigned the case to a different vendor.

Diamond Air Conditioning is disorganized, unprofessional, and unreliable. Their front office ignored my number, their communication was terrible, and their technicians failed to resolve the issue while damaging my AC unit further, resulting in $12,000 in repair costs.

Under Florida Statute §501.204, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce. Diamond Air Conditioning’s false claims, negligence, and failure to provide agreed-upon services clearly violate this statute. Additionally, under Florida contract law, failure to perform services as promised and causing damages to my unit constitutes a breach of contract and negligence.

Thank goodness we have a personal attorney, as Diamond Air Conditioning will be hearing from mine soon.

See pictures unfortunately I can’t add the recorded videos and recording with the emails because they have personal information.

Jshaun went way above and beyond to make SURE my heater would be operating for this winter! A unique system (aka: cheap and ancient) that needed to be taken apart, bit by bit. He came out- spent over two hours working with it, researching it, escalating requests, etc., - submitted his findings, and started down the road to his next job (under the pretense he’d be back as soon as the info we needed was provided). Dude called me less than 10 mins after leaving and said “I’m coming back because I feel there’s more I can do”.

If THAT level of follow-through doesn’t tell you something right there, I don’t know what will.

He came back and spent another solid chunk of time doing what he needed to- and got it done. (Currently waiting on the new parts- but you get what I’m saying: it’s all but done).

This company - and especially this specific technician, JShaun? A+ five stars, that’s FOR SURE.

What I love about smaller / family-owned companies like this is the level of service… they truly make sure each and every person is taken care of- they’re part of the same community as us, and take care of us as such.

You can’t go wrong here. Give them your business. You’ll be impressed, I promise you.
