I couldn't find a Hawaii Energy vendor in Hilo and was referred by my friend in HNL to Craig's Air. Craig called me right away to introduce himself and then Jordan in Hilo called me right after to schedule a consult so I could get the install and credit before the end of the year. Not only are they a Hawaii Energy vendor, they gave fantastic service, follow up, not to mention the price was unbeatable. They even helped me get an electrician to help with the electrical box. The Installers were professional and provided good suggestions on best placement inside and out and told me to call any time if I had any questions or needed help. If you are in Hilo, they have been doing business here for awhile and have big accounts so I felt assured for the long term. Highly recommend!!! They replaced many electrical components on my split AC after a gecko fried the board. Shortly after the repair the unit quit working again and Craig's came back at no cost to repair it again and did extra work to ensure it would not happen again. I've worked with other AC companies (Steves) and have found them to be overpriced and less customer oriented. I'll be working with Craigs moving forward to include AC cleanings. Thank you Craig's! - 5/5 — Anonymous Highly recommended! We had our split AC installed in April and Craig's Air Conditioning exceeded our expectations from estimate to post completion. Like most home owners, we had three estimates performed with varying costs. Craig's was the only company that measured the interior space ensuring the unit we chose provided sufficient cooling. We have a solar PV system and needed to have the unit right sized in order to minimize power draw from the grid. Craig's staff promptly sent us a quote for a Carrier system with an outstanding SEER rating that would meet our power needs. They were also able to accommodate our family's visit by scheduling us in time for their arrival! The installation crew was professional, friendly, and performed clean work. Shoes were removed before entry into the home, floor protection was used, and all exterior materials were organized. They performed a complete clean up, AC unit instruction, and maintenance tips at the conclusion of install. The Carrier unit also qualified us for energy efficiency rebates. Craig's immediately notified us of the rebate, filled out the forms, and issued us a refund. He was impressed by Jordon's professionalism and the detailed information he provided during the job estimate and installation. I contacted the company headquarters in Honolulu to arrange a job estimate and was informed that Jordon would be in touch within a few days. To my surprise, he contacted me that very afternoon and scheduled a convenient date and time for our meeting. On the day of the inspection and estimate, Jordon spent about an hour and thirty minutes meticulously explaining the job details, including the cost and duration. I signed the contract, made the down payment, and awaited the installation date. On the day of installation, Jordon provided specific details regarding the time required to complete the installation, which was crucial for me as I had just finished renovating my home. After giving me this information, he diligently began his work, and I did not see him again until his workday ended. The next day, he introduced me to his coworker, Kekoa, and the same pattern followed. Both gentlemen worked tirelessly, and I did not see them until 5:00 p.m. each day. Two days later, the job was completed! Without a doubt, this was the best experience I have had in terms of proficiency and expediency. Jordon and Kekoa exemplified professionalism. During our discussions, I learned that Jordon is a veteran who served in the Armed Forces, and Kekoa has family members who have also served. This background, I believe, contributed to their articulate and thorough approach throughout the process.
