Ryan and his team have always been responsive. They installed a great backyard sound system for us, but also keep the existing components running smoothly. I will continue to use them.

The company came out to check on an issue with the house (that was user error). I had work done on unused breakers to add outlets in my basement that didn’t touch the rest of the house.

Unasked the guy told me that it “wouldn’t impact my warranty” and for 200 bucks they’d come back out and fix something the others did, no problem. Just to call. Ok sounds good right?

I get an email almost right away from my warranty rep telling me I’m now out of warranty because of the work.

I would have been fine to be told that was the case. But to bring it up, lie, and then go and immediately like tattle? Bizarre. Would never ever use.

Not a safe company. We purchased a Shea home 6.5 years ago. Courtesy did the electrical. Not only did they do a horrible, lazy job, but they created several safety issues. They mislabeled our breaker box. When I asked them to come label it appropriately so we can safely work on our house, the electrician said “that’s your job”. There are several switch boxes in our house that have multiple breakers running to them. This is incredibly unsafe. Thankfully we have enough knowledge of electrical to work around this incompetence. If you are looking to hire an electrician, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. It will save you multiple future headaches!

As a licensed electrician I can honestly say most of the negative reviews I see should have been directed to the builder- NOT the electrical contractor. The contractor is paid specifically to build based completely on the SCOPE OF WORK and nothing else.

Also, having multiple circuits in a box is not only legal but completely safe. I’m not sure where another reviewer got this information from?? Thing is, I want people to be informed and not misled. So while I’m not sure of the competency of this company, I can assure you most of the negative reviews I see here are more than likely not justified.

I ordered a houseful of Elite LED lights on Courtesy Electric's recommendation when I purchased a NEW Shea Home in the Back Country. These LED lights where supposed to last 23 years and after 2.5 years 9 of them went out. Elite has a warranty I called Courtesy about however they said I had to take this matter up with the Developer even though the lights were purchased by Courtesy Electric. Now I'm stuck with a house full of non-working lights. I'm frustrated because they did NOT take responsibility on this?
