I forgot to schedule it before heating season began and the main office called to remind me! I was Geoff's third call of the day. He called me about 30 minutes before he showed up to make sure the time still worked for me. He was friendly and kind to my two dogs and cat and very respectful of my time and my home. I am an energy engineer and have a deeper than average understanding of my HVAC system. It was nice to have a technical conversation with Geoff about its performance. Geoff was very personable and knowledgeable. Despite being his last call of the day, I didn't feel as though he rushed through any of the preventative maintenance steps, he was thorough and intentional. He validated our concerns with our aging water heater and set up an appt to replace it. We are happy with the service and skill of everyone who has worked on our house's HVAC, plumbing, and electric! ****** We needed work done on our gas furnace. We'd had another company come out and they indicated concerns about our furnace, but the visit turned into a sales pitch without adequate explanation of the issues. For a second opinion, we reached out to Cotti-Johnson. Our experience from start to finish was excellent. They sent out a technician who was dedicated to reviewing our system and performing some cleaning/maintenance, not also selling us a new furnace. He took the time to show us what he was looking at, what his concerns were, and what his next steps would be. He followed this up with photos and documentation of what he had found and recommended. Our tech confirmed that our system was not in good shape, and we made the call to move forward with replacement. He connected us with a sales representative who arrived the same day and clearly presented multiple options. He didn't limit us to a single solution, and provided multiple solutions to meet our budget. We selected our solution and applied for financing on the spot. The next week, Christmas holiday week, our furnace failed early in the morning on 12/26. We called Cotti-Johnson and they immediately worked to get a team scheduled to work on our system. On the 27th, a team from Cotti-Johnson arrived to replace our furnace and AC unit. We upgraded to a high efficiency system that they installed cleanly and quickly. By the afternoon of the 27th, we had heat. The installers were friendly, professional, and made sure to review all aspects of the new system and thermostat with us. They cleaned up after themselves, and made sure that everything they did was well labeled (awesome!), cleanly done, and up to code.
