Based on the five-star service I received, I could write a lengthy review… but in the interest of time (mine and any reader) I’ll try to bottom line it! Nearly everything about this experience exceeded my expectations.
1.	While shopping in Costco, I requested info about a new HVAC system from David Bamidele, the consultant at an in-store kiosk. David was professional and engaging. He explained that Costco‘s sole partner in this business is Cool Air Mechanical and they use Lennox equipment. I gave him my contact info and within 10 minutes Cool Air Mechanical called to schedule my HVAC assessment.
2.	Stan Bailey, Senior Comfort Consultant, visited my home five days later. He was professional, knowledgeable, and engaging. He asked questions about my current system and my expectations with a new system. He listened carefully and designed a proposal with 3 options that met my needs. I was able to review the options and ask questions while he was still on site. Stan was amazing, competent and accommodating. He did everything a great salesperson does to provide a frictionless path to get a “YES” from their customer. Considering the size of the investment, he made it easy for me to make my decision with confidence.
3.	Luis Alvarez and Abnel Medina installed a complete HVAC system, additional air return and smart thermostat less than two weeks later. They arrived early and explained their work order to ensure it aligned with my understanding of the plan. They were careful to prevent unintentional damage to my property. They worked professionally and proficiently, finishing the job in about four hours! Luis instructed me to download the Lennox Home app, ensured the new thermostat was programmed and connected to my Wi-Fi, and demonstrated basic functions. Luis and Abnel walked me through the installation – inside and out – and ensured all my questions were answered. I could not have been more impressed with the expertise of both installers!
4.	Throughout the entire process – from first encounter in Costco through installation – the team at Cool Air Mechanical was attentive, accessible and accommodating – especially Melissa and Shelby. Their communications via text, email and phone ensured questions were answered before I asked!
My only regret is that I can only give the Cool Air Mechanical team five stars! I hope management recognizes each of the individuals who expertly represented their company – especially Stan Bailey.
I’m thrilled I bought my new system through Costco and Cool Air Mechanical. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Overall happy with my experience. Got a whole new HVAC system through Costco/Cool Air Mechanical. We got the highest end variable speed system they offered, and in the end it was a similar cost to the lowest end systems offered by other big players. The sales guy was easy to work with and honest. The install crew was fast and professional. They encountered an issue with the system near the end of the install, and they ended up spending several hours tracing the issue down to a single part on a printed circuit board. They had a replacement quickly brought out and had they system up and running. I was impressed. The variable speed is a really nice feature, and my gas bill seems to be lower. Hopefully the results stay the same for when it gets hot.

I had a very concerning experience with Cool Air Mechanical that I believe other customers should be aware of.

I scheduled a dryer vent cleaning because my dryer had been shutting off mid-cycle, and I suspected the vent might be clogged. The company quoted me $300 for the service. When the technician arrived, he inspected the vent and confirmed that the vent was completely clean and did not require any cleaning at all. In other words, the service I scheduled was not needed and no actual cleaning was performed.

The technician was professional and even contacted dispatch on my behalf to ask whether the charge could be reduced since no cleaning was required. Unfortunately, the office refused and insisted that I pay the full $300 cleaning price anyway, despite the fact that the service was never carried out.

What makes this particularly troubling is that there was never any disclaimer or explanation during scheduling that customers would be charged the full price even if no service was performed. If that policy had been made clear beforehand, I could have made an informed decision.

Charging the full price for a service that was never performed feels misleading and borders on unethical business practices. I fully understand paying a reasonable diagnostic or service-call fee for the technician’s time, but charging the full cleaning rate when no cleaning took place is extremely difficult to justify.

The technician himself was courteous and advocated for me, but the company’s billing policy is something customers should be aware of before booking.

If you are considering Cool Air Mechanical for dryer vent cleaning, be aware that you may be charged the full cleaning price even if the technician determines that your dryer vent does not actually need to be cleaned.

I also want to note that I have given the company multiple opportunities to resolve this issue directly. I was told a manager, Justin Hauthn, would contact me, but despite several attempts to follow up, I have not received a return call. I would still prefer to resolve this matter directly with the company if possible.

Purchased a top of line Lenox heat pump from Cool Air Mechanical using Costco discounts. Great deal. I worked with Jacob Blanchard who managed the sale from day one till completion. Jacob stuck with me from beginning to end answering all my questions both technical and financial. He treated me with respect and I never felt pressured or hurried. I enjoyed, being an engineer myself, his system and technical knowledge which he explained in detail. Lenox is a well known quality product and Jacob a true professional. I recommend them both.

System installed when promised on time. Install crew Jean Paul and Ash arrived early, got to work right away and finished ahead of schedule. They were both professional and took care moving equipment thru house. They cleaned up the mess and helped with the thermostat and app setup. Then reviewed operation of the system and app with me until I felt comfortable with the overall operation. All in all this has been a great experience and strongly recommend Cool Mechanical especially Jacob, Jean Paul and Ash as a team.

If I could leave a negative number I would. Their customer service is awful. For over 2 weeks I have been waiting for a supervisor to call me back. I have been passed around the building to people and promised so much. Since the instal we have had issues. To the point they issued money back and a extended warranty. We bought from CostCo and assumed it would be a great experience due to their standards. We dropped over 30K on two units. It has been a train wreck since. We have ceiling damage from a leak. They didn’t install the flex wrap on our pipes when I asked them to at instal. The first service person who came out blamed a dirty filter that they had serviced. The water leaks continued and they sent a manager out. He figured out the issue and promised it would be fixed. He promised an email with the price quote the following day. Nope, never came. A week later I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Nope, one one called me back. Called agin a few days later, and was promised one would call me back at 430. He did call, promised me he would get things handled and promised to text me with his direct cell. Nope, never did. Called back a few days later and was promised he would be in touch and would get things ordered. Nope, never did. They did schedule an appointment to come out on 9/5 between 8 and 12 to fix the issue. Well guess what, at 12 I had not heard a word or seen a service person. So I called again, asked for a supervisor and got put on hold while they found one. I was informed by that supervisor that they had gotten an email this morning advising to schedule someone to come out. She didn’t even know I had been waiting all morning for a service call. Again promised someone will call me back. Guess we will see. Disappointed in Costco for the partnership with this company and the horrible experience. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
