They are Way Overpriced and I feel like not very honest. The first thing the tech told me was that first off you need a thermostat and its not covered under warranty. Reason stated it was not sending low voltage to outside unit. The price quoted for just the thermostat was 512, for a $150 part. Which means to install the faceplate, 2-3 wires to connect, it was going to cost $372 labor. Took him about 10 minutes to install so you can do the math on the labor rate. He tried to convince me the cost was high for a 3 yr warranty that they provide. BUT the part comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty as long as professionally installed. Quality of work was good but way overpriced. Btw in the write up on my receipt, only the faulty transformer was listed as the issue, nothing about the thermostat. Hmmmm. I believe the transformer would be the part that would direct current to the outside unit. So not sure the thermostat was an issue at all Update: invoice 1003677 Feb 20. Read back over description, does say faulty thermostat but was tested with faulty transformer.
