Truly disappointed in the work and ethics of Beck Electric. Originally had them out to check for a leak and was told there wasn’t an active leak and that it was faulty caulking. I explained the nature of the leak and that it dried up when I turned the water off but leaked when the water was turned back on without using the shower. During this first call out, I asked the plumber to quote me for getting my washer and dryer hooked up. He gave me a quote on the washer hook up, stating that it would need a tie in to the other plumbing to drain as well as an extension hose on the washer. He told me that he’d pass the information on to the electrical team and have someone contact me about that quote.

The quote for getting the washer hooked up was $754.48. The electrician came out that same day and quoted me $754.48 for getting the correct outlet put in as well as rewiring the dryer to have the newer, correct plug. He stated that I should probably get my electric panel updated, as well as replace an outlet outside that wasn’t rated for outdoors. The total for all the electrical work was quoted at $4,778.34.

Had to have them out a second time because the leak continued. They charged me $585 to cut two holes in my kitchen ceiling and then two holes in my hallway wall to find the leak was with an elbow joint on my toilet. Not including the $99 it cost to originally have them out the first time and tell me there wasn’t an active leak.

They continued to call, text and email asking if I wanted to proceed with the plumbing and electrical work even after I asked to have a week to think about it. I finally decided to go ahead and just get the work done. I explained that I wouldn’t be able to be home while the work was done, but that I’d leave the house unlocked. The work was completed on 3/4/26. The plumber called when he was done and informed me I’d still have to get an extension hose for the washer. I told him I thought he was installing that today, he said he would if he had one but he doesn’t have one with him. I was a bit confused as I thought this was part of the quoted work being done.

I picked up the extension hose on my way home from work and when I got home to install it myself, was met with the fact that the tie in wye was placed directly above an electrical outlet. There were also no hoses connected to the hot/cold water for the washer, I also had to buy those and install them myself. I called the next morning and explained how I’m disappointed in the fact I still needed to purchase more items and install them myself after having paid over $700 to have it taken care of. The girl I spoke to said she’d look into it and call me back.

On 3/6/26 I received a call back from Beck and the girl told me that according to their head of plumbing, there wasn’t anywhere else to install the wye, but that they could send someone out to give me a quote on how to fix it. She said the quote would be free, but that the work done wouldn’t be covered under the original price. She also stated that the extension hose and other hook up wasn’t part of the original quote and that’s why that wasn’t completed. Not one of the plumbers or electricians told me that the outlet/plumbing would have to be that way or offered any options of how to do it differently.

I’m no plumbing or electrical expert, but I think it’s common sense to not install a water pipe that is open with a potential to leak right above an electrical outlet.

I am disgusted in the lack of accountability and the over charging of poor work. I would never recommend their services to anyone. The only positive I have is that the entire team I spoke with and the technicians I had out were polite and respectful.

Chris was extremely professional and explained everything as he went. He has a great work ethic and worked until he was walking out the door. He installed a new disposal, spray faucet and tied in the new sink and all the plumbing. Excellent work!!

Received a detailed walkthrough quote for SEVERAL services needed in and outside the home. Preston provided Zero judgement, zero pressure, and 100% competency and planning was observed. Very well organized, efficient, and thorough.

Subjective point: Seems very honest and does not sugar coat things, or over sell what they can or cannot do.

Great communication and customer service, until the work was completed.
They charged me twice for the original visit.
Not professional work. Especially for the amount of money we paid. Looks worse than if I did it, not a professional.
They did not complete all the work that was on the quote.
They left the large hangers from the old drain pipe hanging from the rafters.
There is glue running down the PVC pipe they put in place.
They knocked the kitchen sink trap loose. They would have found this if they had tested the work they did complete, or if they had replaced all the pipe they quoted us to do.
I cannot get the manager to call me back to discuss these issues.

My original review was 5 stars for the original visit and estimate.
Might consider raising this one, if I can talk to someone and make this right for us. 🤞
