Andre was excellent and timely! He fixed my under cabinet lighting when the drivers went out. Would highly recommend and absolutely will use him again!

Our master bathroom ceiling fan was not powering on and we needed to replace the wall switch that controlled both the fan and the ceiling light.

We were able to get a same day service request with Andre. He was very patient, taking the time needed to make a thorough assessment and was able to figure out what the problem was with the wiring. He made the necessary repairs to restore power to the fan and replaced the double wall switch as requested. He even addressed a couple of other inquiries I had for a wobbly outlet and a recessed ceiling light.

We truly appreciated his timeliness and professionalism in responding to our request for service the same day.

This young man did an amazing job for us. We purchased a house and the electrical outlet for the stove was not up to code. He changed out the outlet and ran a cable to the electric box. He was professional, courteous and is very knowledgeable in his field. We will be calling him back to fix other things that are wrong with this house. This young man will not disappoint you. Know that when you hire him, you will have a job well done .

I HIGHLY recommend Andre. He responded promptly, was a delight to work with, and was through and competent. His bill was very reasonable. He is now my go to guy for anything electrical. Cannot recommend him enough.

## FAQ
**Q: What service areas does Andre Electric cover for residential electrical troubleshooting in San Diego?**
A: Andre Electric serves South San Diego County, including neighborhoods like San Diego, Coronado, University Heights, North Park, South Park, Hillcrest, Mission Valley, Golden Hill, and Point Loma. If you're in a nearby area not listed, reach out to discuss service availability. This local focus ensures quick response times for diagnosing issues like overloaded circuits or faulty GFCI outlets in residential settings.

**Q: How does Andre Electric handle breaker tripping issues in San Diego homes?**
A: When a breaker keeps tripping, Andre Electric diagnoses the underlying cause, such as overloaded circuits or short circuits, rather than just resetting it repeatedly. The process involves a thorough inspection of wiring and connected loads to identify the problem accurately. Repair options are then explained with up-front pricing, ensuring safe restoration of your electrical panel's functionality.

**Q: What qualifications does the electrician at Andre Electric in University Heights have?**
A: Andre, the licensed electrician at Andre Electric, holds a California C-10 license (#1123760) and has a background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley, following experience as a software engineer and handyman. This expertise allows for clear explanations of residential electrical systems, including panel assessments and circuit troubleshooting. The focus on honest work and communication stems from building a highly reviewed home-services company prior to specializing in electrical repairs.

**Q: Can Andre Electric troubleshoot flickering lights in older San Diego homes?**
A: Yes, Andre Electric specializes in diagnosing flickering lights in older homes, often caused by loose connections, voltage fluctuations, or aging wiring in the electrical system. A site visit assesses the circuits and connections to pinpoint the issue, with recommendations for repairs like tightening terminals or upgrading conductors if needed. This ensures compliance with NEC standards and prevents potential hazards like arcing faults.

**Q: What is the process for getting an electrical repair estimate from Andre Electric?**
A: Start by texting your request with details, neighborhood, and photos of the issue, such as a problematic outlet or panel. Andre Electric reviews this to provide an initial estimate or price range; for complex troubleshooting like burning smells from overheating components, an on-site assessment may be scheduled first. Once diagnosed, up-front pricing is given without upselling, covering the scope from basic resets to full circuit repairs.

**Q: Does Andre Electric offer services for GFCI outlet problems in residential properties near Hillcrest?**
A: Andre Electric diagnoses GFCI outlets that won't reset or fail suddenly, which often indicate ground faults or issues in the protected circuit downstream. The inspection checks for moisture intrusion, wiring faults, or tripped mechanisms in the device itself. Safe fixes are recommended, potentially including replacement with code-compliant GFCI receptacles to maintain protection against electrical shocks.

**Q: How does Andre Electric ensure safe repairs for burning smells from electrical panels in San Diego?**
A: A burning smell signals overheating from arcing, loose neutrals, or overloaded breakers, and Andre Electric identifies the source through thermal imaging or visual inspection of the panelboard. Immediate isolation of the affected circuit prevents fire risks, followed by detailed explanations of repair options like panel upgrades or conductor replacements. All work is documented with photos and notes for your records, adhering to California electrical codes.
