Great service with knowledgeable and friendly techs. Mike and Dawson are two guys who you can trust to get things done correctly the first time. Both of them are always happy to explain what they find and run through everything that needs done. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

Had to call them out to get a leaky water heater fixed only to discover I needed to replace the whole unit. Dawson called their support and I ended up getting a new water heater free with the manufacturer warranty. Great staff all around.

Alternative Air was very good to work with in the beginning. For the bidding and the original installation. Being very flexible in being able to work with our realtor and our working hours to install a full blown new heating/cooling system, and even a hot water heater. Originally, things were great. The A/C and hot water heater worked just fine.

After about a month, we found a water leak in our basement caused from the A/C unit. This water has caused some damage to some sheet rock, and our carpet in the bathroom.(Yes, carpet in the bathroom its a old home.) Our basement had no floor drains so, the condensation was pumped into a PVC sewer pipe. That's were we found the issue. They had created there own PVC P-trap and glued it into the existing sewer line, with a copper pipe going into it. The copper pipe was not long enough, and the pipe was also spilt and cracked. So, every time the pump kicked on it sprayed water everywhere.

I called Alternative Air, (this was after hours). They said they couldn't get someone out until the next day. I told them that was fine.

A younger man, came out the next day. He replaced the pipe that was way to short to begin with and that had the crack. But, after he left I went to inspect the work. Just making sure the issue was resolved and immediately noticed the brand new piece of copper pipe he installed was bent to sharp and broke. I immediately took pictures.

I decided to fix the copper pipe on my own, and immediately took picture afterwards.

I emailed Alternative Air on multiple occasions letting them know of the issue, and that it was not resolved. I do not believe that the $11,000 cost of installation (that is paid in full), and then now trying to charge me $200 fee for coming to fix the copper pipe (that wasn't fixed).

In speaking on the phone with Kendra she says there have been a lot of changes. That's why they never responded to my email. They are not whiling to budge except $100. Kept mentioning "Joe" only authorized $100 off.

I've attached pictures after the original installation. You can see were there is new glue on the pipe. This shows they moved the original P Trap and copper pipe, so should have known the old copper pipe was broke and been fixed on original installation.

Then, the picture of the brand new pipe that was installed, and a break or puncture in the new copper pipe taken minutes after the young man left.

Please keep all of this in mind when utilizing Alternative Air. This has been really disheartening. Being a newer resident to the area, we trusted them based on recommendations from others. But sadly I would not recommend them to anyone at this point.
I'm not upset that the issue wasn't resolved... I took care of it. But, you shouldn't charge clients for a service or installation that wouldn't meet quality standards.

Alternative Air is a spectacular business to work with! I would know, I have done business with them many times.

We have been loyal customers of Alternative Air for years, working with the team across two properties. Unfortunately, a recent experience has completely tested our patience and trust.

Our AC unit was functioning perfectly until a technician named Dawson came in—after his visit, the system stopped working entirely. When I reached out for emergency service, it took several days for anyone to respond, and neither the company nor the technicians accepted responsibility for the issue. To be clear, I wasn’t seeking a refund or financial compensation (though I did receive a refund for my membership when I canceled it); I simply wanted the issue addressed promptly.

When I was promised emergency service, the assigned technician, Aaron, never even called me back. When I called him back to see how far away he was, I learned that his supervisor (and owner), Joe, had told him not to come because they had already provided me with an estimate for a replacement part. This lack of communication was unacceptable.

When I expressed my frustration, I was accused of being vulgar on the phone, an unfair and inaccurate claim. In reality, it was their team who repeatedly used an unprofessional tone and even hung up on me multiple times.

This entire experience has been deeply disappointing, especially after years of loyalty and positive interactions with the company.

Same-day edit: When another service provider arrived, they discovered that the technician had installed the capacitor upside down, which short-circuited the entire system, and that was the only problem.

Mike did a great job! He was very professional and accurately diagnosed the problem quickly. He checked on availability of the part needed, found it available and returned with it shortly. He installed it and we have heat again! Thanks so much!
