We had 5 roofing companies come out and give us estimates. Only three of them actually went into the attic to do an inspection on the interior of the roof, and Allied was one of them. One of those three companies was less expensive, but didn’t catch a number of the things that Allied did. The third company did catch a lot of the same issues Allied did, but gave us an astronomical quote that we simply could not afford. Allied wasn’t the least expensive offer of the five but they caught a number of issues that most of the other companies that came out did not catch, and offered what we felt was a very honest and reasonable price for all of the work that needed to be done. Our Allied sales representative, Drew, found a plethora of ventilation issues and some mold growth on much of the OSB boards that needed replaced. All in all, it was going to be a big project. He showed us some pictures and video of some of those issues as well. When he sat down with us to go over the findings, he was very thorough, and took his time explaining everything and answered any questions we had. It was almost like a little roofing class. We had some delays getting the roofing job started, as it seemed to rain almost every day we tried to plan for it. But Drew was communicative through all of it, and we eventually got the ball rolling once we finally had a break in the weather. The roofing team did an exceptional job, and the project manager, Aaron, was kind, polite, respectful and a professional. Drew kept me posted with pictures, video’s and progress throughout the process. We had guests over the day after the project was finished and got three compliments on our new roof. All the moldy wood is gone, no leaks thus far, and they even sprayed the trusses with mold prevention.
