Just did partial roof replacement in preparation of the coming solar panel project, chose All Bay Builders eventually after compared multiple quotations, services terms and turnaround time. Quality job done in a timely manner, highly recommended.

Update: They left a voice mail for us, threatening us to remove our review. They gave us an ultimatum to remove this review or they do this and that. Not surprising that they don't have many bad reviews with this level of service. If you are not satisfied with their services, they will threaten you. Original Review: We hired this contractor for a full house renovation, including re-piping, foundation work, yard leveling, skylight installation, and electrical updates, with a timeline of four months. Unfortunately, our experience was plagued by poor-quality work, delays, and additional costs. House Re-Piping: The contractor claimed to have completed the re-piping, but after lots of issues with plumbing, a plumber we hired discovered that the contractor have charged us but never done the work and pipes under the house were years old. Also the bathroom pipes were not properly secured. This oversight has led to severe water hammering, putting the house’s plumbing at risk. Foundation Damage: Despite being provided with an inspection report, the contractor’s work on the piers was substandard, causing foundation damage. Their workers attempted to fix the water hammering they caused, resulting in extensive internal damage—cracks in walls, baseboards, and door frames, plus misaligned doors and windows. A licensed foundation specialist later found that the newly installed beams by this contractor were already tilting, compromising the structural integrity. Skylight Shaft & Bathroom Shower Issues: The skylight shaft was built incorrectly against manufacturer instructions, making the screen to not fit in it. Additionally, the agreed-upon expansion of the main bathroom shower and charged us for but was never completed. Backyard and Deck Problems: We were charged $2,600 (more than initially quoted) for leveling and cleaning the yard, which was poorly executed. The improper slope now directs water toward the foundation, risking further damage. Also, the deck stones installed by the contractor cracked and broke within three months, but the contractor has refused to repair it. Electrical and HVAC Failures: City inspectors flagged the rewiring of the bathrooms as non-compliant with code. One bedroom air register was installed with inadequate airflow, which was ignored by the contractor. Costly Damages and Double Charges: The contractor damaged several parts of the house, including the front wall, living room ceiling, and a suntunnel, and we were charged for repairs. We were also billed twice for garage drywall installation due to the contractor’s oversight in plumbing placement. Unprofessionalism and Extended Timeline: When we raised concerns, the contractor shifted blame onto us and failed to address the issues. Although he promised a four-month completion, the work took seven months due to delays in responding to city requirements, leading to additional rent costs. In summary, this contractor’s lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and disregard for agreements led to numerous unresolved issues and extra expenses. We strongly recommend seeking alternative professionals for any major renovation work.
