Been an Air Now customer for over 10+ years, and I see their service continually declining. Recently had a bi-annual HVAC check-up appointment; however, they sent a plumber. Cody, extremely nice and polite. He apologized, tried to get a tech out, but too late in the day. He calls the office, and Cody tells me someone will call me the next day to reschedule the appointment. Great. Thank you Cody. I wait and wait -- no one ever calls. So four days later, I call to reschedule the appointment. It was like an act of congress to try to explain to Yani what happened and why I needed to make a new appointment. Now I have a new appointment in April. Hopefully this time they will send the correct tech.
My furnace stopped heating. AirNow responded very quickly to assess the situation. The technicians & their boss were very polite, extremely knowledgeable, & explained the problems & my options. I feel confident that AirNow will have my new system installed & running very soon. Thank you, AirNow. Happy to add... my new system is operating well. A team showed up with the new equipment, bright & early on a Saturday. They got right to work, carefully placing tarps to protect my floors & gently removing a door & wood trim. The guys certainly know what they're doing; focused on attention to detail. They walked me thru the process, carefully explained operation & maintenance, & ensured that manuals were received. When the job was complete, they cleaned up all debris. I highly recommend AirNow to anyone looking for routine maintenance, repairs, or replacement of equipment. There was no high pressure sale. Everyone I worked with during this process was polite, respectful, & professional. Thank you, AirNow, for providing an HVAC system that I am confident will serve me well for decades to come & an excellent 10 year warranty.
I won’t use AirNow again because they failed to fix and missed a chronic evaporator coil leak. Poor service, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. I have a 2017 Lennox unit that AirNow installed. In 2022, AirNow determined the evaporator coil was leaking, it needed to be replaced and would be covered by warranty. After a couple of months of waiting, a new coil showed up, but AirNow had ordered the wrong coil so it wouldn’t fit my unit. The AirNow tech said I could wait months for the correct coil to show up, meaning months of no AC, or he could fix the coil leak. So, faced with months of no AC, I agreed to letting him fix the coil leak. So yesterday AirNow determined the AC isn’t working because the coil is leaking, again—the same coil that was leaking in 2022 that AirNow stated they fixed. And AirNow wants over $3,300 to replace the coil that was supposed to be replaced under warranty in 2022. Between 2022 and 2024, I always paid the monthly membership dues, and twice a year they would check the unit and add refrigerant. I always mentioned the previous coil leak and that the unit was struggling, but was reassured by the AirNow tech that the unit was okay. Instead, I was talked into buying stuff for the unit that wasn’t needed and didn’t fix the problem.
